This K&N cold air intake system is engineered for your vehicle. Sucking mad air on the Mazdaspeed 3. Intake air temp averages @ 4 degrees cooler while moving over stock air box. Combined this with aftermarket turbo inlet pipe and the engine makes a very noticeable sucking sound. So if you prefer a quiet engine experience, then look elsewhere. Can feel more power and seems to spool faster and get into boost quicker without really getting on the gas hard. Overall, im very satisfied.

Fairly easy to install (the directions that come with it are pretty bad though). Took about an hour to install. This intake really opened up the torque curve in my MS3 and definitely more horsepower. Also, your stock waste gate will be breathing quite a bit once this is installed. Definitely turns heads when the waste gate purges between shifts.

I just received the K & N 69-6011TS 69 Series Typhoon Air Intake System a week ago. Install was pretty straight forward BUT after looking at it, the intake was at 5 degrees up. I tried refitting several times without luck. After test driving car it seems to be working okay. I can only tell if it is working by the suction of air flow at HI RPMS. I can't fell ANY power difference from the factory air box. I contacted K & N and they suggest to get with a dyno dealer to see the difference. After their comments, I can ONLY give this 3 stars. Next is an exhaust for my '09 MazdaSpeed 3.
