Received this product packaged well. Worked to put it together and found numerous deficiencies. The tank did not stay in place no matter what I did. The tank continued to leak solution. The attachment for the trigger-to-tank solution release was too long and did not fit in in the slot which was to pull the plunger to release solution. The tank is made in 2 pieces and joined together, however no one took the time to realize the threads should align to allow the cap to screw on. The trigger on the handle connects to a metal pull-rod which gets "hung-up" on the overly long screw that holds the trigger mechanism to the handle. (I fixed this by trimming the screw.) The connection point to the tank uses a screw to allow it to slide up/down (I had to add a washer to get this to keep the screw head from jamming in the slot).I was substantially disappointed by everything but the motor housing and motor as these are robust and very sturdy. The US sole distributor said it was German engineered, made in Mexico, and sold in the US. The handle and tank require better manufacturing and QC. I returned the unit for refund.

Over 8 years later: I have not had any problems with it, but I mostly use it to scrub tile floors. It is small and light; similar to a metal upright vacuum. It glides over tile with ease. Scrubbing is a one hand job, even for an old dude, then it tucks away in a small space.I wore out another set of brushes. It is well made for the price. This is a home appliance. For heavier use, buy a commercial unit, maybe from Oreck. Of course, it's twice the weight and price, and takes up much of a closet. The tank can leak. It must be seated properly. I usually don't bother with it, since it's easier to use a jug or sprayer to apply soap/water. The brushes have trouble getting into deep grout, but does fine on normal grout.

What this product does well is clean the floors. What it doesn't do well is everything else. The tank assembly is a horrible, ill-fitting, leaky design that is nothing short of infuriating. It constantly comes lose from the unit. If you want to use this to dispense water, you WILL be disappointed. We use a squirt bottle or a jug to put water down. I actually thought of filling the tank with sand just to get more weight on the brushes. Next is the 2 speed system it should be called "doesn't fling water" and "flings water". Lastly, this product will not stand on its own. You will need to lean it against something if you leave it unattended. Either The handle catch doesn't work properly to hold the unit up, or its too poorly balanced to stand on it's own, or a combination of both at times. We have only used this on hard surfaces, so that is all I can base my review on, no carpet.

I bought this floor cleaner a while ago on a "Hail Mary" idea to clean the the the kitty accidents off the concrete floor in the cellar, I am embarrassed to say that there were quite a few but segregated to 3 major spots, one under the radial arm work bench, one on the side of the pellet stove and the regular work bench, and the other area between the big air compressor and the dryer. Evidently this has been going on for a while but I could not catch the culprit who was committing the act. I could not bring it in my heart to punish the innocent ones. I tried everything form vinegar and h2o2 mixture, bleach and water with dish soap, baking soda and water and brushed it in. With some help over the Christmas Holiday I did some last ditch research and developed one last tactical plan. First I appropriated a 2 gallon sprayer from a local box store, filled with 1 gallon of water, 1/2 gallon of cleaning vinegar, 1 quart of h2o2, 20 oz of super strength bleach, 1/2 cup of TSP and mixed well, VERY WELL. After area was cleaned and vacuumed we began. I began spraying one contaminated section to refusal then let sit for five minutes, my helper then aggressively scrubbed the area with the Koblenz P--2600 with the stiff bristle brushes making sure the area did not dry acting like a venturi pulling the deeper down contaminates out to the surface. As soon as that first treatment on that area was complete I immediately took my big Ridged Shop Vac and squeegeed all of the liquid that acme to the surface, it was dark brown and very dirty and the effort was immediately noticeable and worth it. all three areas received two aggressive treatments and the cleaner portions of the cellar floor received one. After the whole floor was allowed to dry over night a coating of Natures Miracle PH was sprayed on the whole floor the next day, there have been no further "accidents" since and the floor looks and smells very good and I am not embarrassed to have any visitors over anymore. This Project would have been impossible with just a little hand scrub brush, The Koblenz P-2600 was run about 8 hours constantly, the brushes held up fine but the power head did develop a slight vibration toward the end which I will have to take apart and find out what is wrong with it. For the job it did I am happy and would recommend it to anyone who is in this situation, but if Koblenz is aware of a defect in their P-2600 Commercial Floor Carpet Clearner I would appreciate they reach out to me before the unit experiences Ultimate failure as I plan to use it many times in the future. I know it's a long review but as usual, Thanks for reading, Jim in CT..

This is a powerful machine, easy to use. The only reason I did not give it five stars since I found lowering the handle seems to be temperamental since there does not seem to be any actual lock and release which it should have.Update. One year after the tank valve broke and it was with in one year however the customer service rep said by leaving solution in the tank caused it. The tank should be designed for cleaning solution so this is a pile of crap.***DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT***VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE***

I bought this to clean my tile floors. It does the job well, and the machine is heavy duty, no plastic parts to worry about breaking. You do have to keep up with cleaning up the dirty water as you go, I use another floor cleaner I have that sucks up the water to do this. If the floor has not been cleaned in a while you do have to go over it several times to get it clean. I have a lot of tile, probably around 2,000 square feet of it, and it does take hours to cover it all. If I had the choice, I would buy a commercial grade machine that will also suck up the dirty water, however they start around $700.
