The old stopper got thrown away when the pop up stopper broke. Had to buy a new one along with the pop up. This item is exactly as the original part and restored the look of the tub.

It's perfect. I seen a review saying it broke after one week however it's metal. I can't see how this quality of metal can break in a week. It's more likely that Kohler 1068204 Cartridge Assembly broke. And not this. Also, sometimes if you screw these too tight or too loose they either don't drain or won't plug. So if you face that issue try tightening or loosening it. Some plumbers tape would also probably help keep it at the set tension.It doesn't come with the rubber washer since that comes with the cartridge assembly, but it fits well and is just beautiful. Also they have a brushed nickel variety (Kohler 1068202-BN).Save yourself some money and do NOT Be confuse this item with Kohler 1056135-CP which is almost identical to this except it does not fit Kohler 1068204 Cartridge Assembly and had a long stem on the back.

I just renovated my bathroom and put in a new Kohler tub (K-1123-LA). I always hear good things about Kohler and loved the design so decided to spend the extra money. So far I am quite happy with the tub itself. This stopper (1068202-CP) came with the tub. This part number is for the polished chrome version and looks very nice looking. It is a spring loaded stopper that you press once to stop the water and press again to drain the water. The first week we had it, it mostly worked but sometimes you had to screw it back in to keep the water from draining. After one week of owning this, the spring no longer stayed down and no longer stopped the water. I opened it up by simply unscrewing it and found that the design is very poor. There is a spring that has a piece of plastic on the end and is glued to another piece of plastic. The glue between the two came apart and caused the spring to no longer function properly. I am going to contact Kohler since it has a one year warranty and hope they will replace it but I do not expect a replacement to be any better due to the poor design.
