Vault(TM) 33" x 22" x 9-5/16" top-/under-mount large/medium double-bowl kitchen sink with 4 faucet holes
From the Manufacturer
The new Vault sinks are dual-mount sinks that can also be used in a replacement application. The contemporary self-rimming Vault fabricated sink will appeal to customers who want a significantly differentiated sink without having to replace their countertops. The low-profile 1-1/2-mm rim provides an undercounter or flush mount aesthetic, and makes wiping debris from the countertop directly into the sink basin easier than a typical self-rimming sink, 9-Inch depths and tight corner radii maximize usable basin space, and the lowered saddle prevents water from overflowing into the countertop.

Bought this for our new home. Love the look and depth and two different size bowls. My biggest complaint is the bottom of the bowls are too flat and everything sits until sprayed towards the drain. They do scratch easily and are loud when the disposal runs.

The sink is nice. Quick delivery and fairly easy to install (take measurements before you order - we had to modify the counter a bit). I am a firm believer in the air drying larger pots/pans, etc so it was a bit of an adjustment with the smaller drain area. Stainless scratches so you have to be somewhat careful when cleaning. We added basin racks to protect the bottom of the sink but this comes at a cost. My biggest gripe is the somewhat sharp edge of the sink. We top mounted the sink and I wouldn't recommend running your finger along the edge. I really like the depth of the sink. Overall, it's a workable sink for us.

Great quality, everything I would expect from Kohler. I'm really getter tired of Moen and Delta, it's my suggestion that spending a little bit more that gives you quality and design is the way to go. I think Kohler should have made the bottom of this sink slope just another 2mm to get more of a slope, of you don't mind spraying down the food scrapes into the drain. I love the wire grill that protects the sink. Also this sink is way bigger because it's square than most round corner sinks, I can get a 12" sauce pan with handle to sit flat in the sink while I wash it, totally impressed.

The sink is beautiful and well made for the most part. It was easy to install, with clear instructions and templates provided. When I got to the last under-mount clip I realized the channel that the clip fits into was not fully attached to the sink, but it did not effect the installation. The sink looks awesome when clean, but I feel the need to wipe it down after every use, which only takes a few minutes. It is scratchable, but I haven't noticed it scratching as easily as the other poster. I'm on Amazon looking for a rack for the smaller side of the sink, so the bottom does not get scratched on that side.

This sink always looks dirty! It takes a half hour to clean and then soft water will make it look bad again. A soft cloth scratches it so it is necessary to have the racks on both sides, which only makes it more difficult to clean!

The best and most wonderful sink ever, deep enough, but not too deep. Stainless, big enough on the left for my canning pots and confiture pan, and the right is still big enough to be useable. Surface or undermount, I have surface mount because i use my kitchen and get the creeps from undermount/caulking, it never quite seems sealed enough-this is a lovely sink and fits a normal cabinet.

Our contractor advised us that top mount sink is out-dated since we have a modern kitchen. However when we showed him this item, he immediately withdrew his objection. The sink is functional, built with solid materials and design. It may be a little noisier than the porcelain sink coupled with the garbage disposer and believe it or not, easily scratch-marked. Be sure to get the two matching bottom racks. Overall we are really happy with the purchase. Our order was shipped from Build.com within one day of our order, the item was on its way. We could not be more pleased with their service.

This sink was the perfect style I was looking for during our kitchen remodel. Sort of a european feel with a nice satin stainless steel finish. On that front it delivers. The first problem encountered was the cheap sink fasteners. The threads are way too corse and when extended near the end of their reach they easily pop out of the fastener screw hole. Had to make a trip to a plumbing supply store and get replacement ones. Although, of the exact same design, the new fastener screws have a much tighter thread and therefore worked just fine. This could easily have been fixed by Kohler probably years ago but, it seems to me, totally ignored. The most disappointing aspect of this sink is that it mars very easily. I'm sure this is a result of the metallurgy content and therefore the hardness of the stainless steel. There are different grades of hardness but they don't tell you what that is, just the gauge of the steel. This finish also shows water spots quite readily but I guess there's not much that can be done about that. The final disappointment is the the bottom of the sink is so close to level that small pieces of food don't easily rinse away. Just a couple degrees more of inward slant could easily fix this without ruining the aesthetics of its design. The product pictures make it look like there's a sufficient angle to rinse small particles down the drain. Not so. Does Kohler even require the designers test these things before bringing them to market?I also have a major complaint with the Kohler stainless sink strainers, although those were purchased thru a different retailer so it wouldn't be fair to review them here.My overall opinion of Kohler is that I'll think long and hard before every buying any of their products again. In real world use and applications, at least for this product, they need much improvement. The Made in China label sort of tells the story, sadly.
