I'm impressed with this Kolari Vision 10-Stop ND lens filter. I acquired the filter for use with several 52mm Nikon lenses that I use with my DSLR cameras. It is immediately obvious that care was used in the manufacturing of this product (see photos). The described brass framing appears to be a slightly heavier gauge/weight than I'm accustomed to seeing in past lens filters I have purchased. An added attractive component is the smoother serration sections that are present on a couple areas of the rim, which allows for easier gripping for installation and removal of the filter. There were absolutely no problems with screwing the filter on & then removing it.The glass used in manufacturing appears very clean & free of imperfections. This is a 10-stop version ND filter, which significantly reduces the amount of light entering a lens. I am planning to utilize the ND filter for those projects where I am especially concerned about glare reduction in brighter situations.Kolari is generally a well-known name for higher quality camera lens filters and I'm delighted to have this ND filter for photography projects as indicated earlier. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent quality, clear coloring:This is easily the nicest camera filter I've owned. The quality of the piece are immediately evident in how the lens feels, with the metal materials used and high quality lens feeling a bit heavier than you'd expect for such a small item. The crisp clarity and coloring the lens provides is also just superb. And lastly, the lifetime warranty (and just how high quality the materials seem) gives me a lot of confidence in the product - that it will continue to work spectacularly for many years to come.Overall, this is an excellent product and I'd highly recommend.

PRODUCT/THOUGHTS: This is a well made very dark Neutral density filter. I have always had issues with my sky and clouds being overexposed and this filter fixes the issue! They even provide a hard carrying case to keep it safe and a cleaning cloth.

The Kolari Pro IRND filter is made of ultra strong Corning gorilla glass with a premium hard protective coating. This lens is a big investment, for sure, but they are known as one of the best in color accuracy and clarity. Quite a few pros say they are THE best. The Kolari IRND has dual function of neutral darkening under any IR wavelength (visible and IR) plus light filtering. The quality of the construction makes the lens scratch and impact resistant with high-clarity, no color shift, no vignetting, and glare-free under most situations.I have the 52mm model with ND 10 stops. This extreme 10 stops of light reduction blocks light down to ultra dark, e.g. LONG exposure times. It functions like a dream with a 2-stage "knurl" design on ultra-thin brass ring edges that provides a high-friction grip. This is an "all weather" filter and even if you are wearing gloves, you should still be able to grasp the ring. I put this to the test, and you can indeed grasp those rings even with light gloves on!The Kolari also has full brass front and back threads so it can be stacked with other lens filters. Per the Kolari web site, the knurled ring edges may mean incompatibility with some lens hoods, though.Just a note: 10 stops is very dark, but at least 15 stops is recommended for the upcoming solar eclipse. I can still see through this 10 stop lens, so this is not the one to use on your camera if you don't want to damage it during the eclipse.To protect your investment, it comes in a cushioned, black plastic case. This is an outstanding ND 10 stop lens with quality that will last.

I’ve used all of the brands during my work as a photographer and cinematographer. The Kolari filters are hands down the best in the three most important metrics: optical performance (clarity and color neutrality), build quality and durability of the coatings. They aren’t the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. They are, however a great value for the money and quite reasonable in cost considering the performance. You will not be disappointed with the investment. The other filters they make (Infrared, etc) are also the best you can buy, so if you need a filter, look to Kolari first.

I've added four of these filters to my filter bag. I have 5, 10, 15, and 20 stop filters. I use them mainly for long exposures with my full spectrum camera along with Kolari infrared filters of which I have four. I add the infrared filter and then stack the ND filters on top. I've used the 10 and 15 stop filters extensively. The 5 and 20 stop filters are new but I'm anxious to give them a try. So far, these are the most color neutral ND filters I've used. With my full spectrum camera, depending on conditions, I can extend exposure time to at least 10 minutes. Achieving 5 or 6 minutes is easy. I've also used them on my color camera and they work wonders with that camera as well.

I got the 15-Stop ND Filter in 82mm. I haven't seen many 15 and 20 stop filters so I was stoked. For as much as 15 stops, glass quality is so key and I was really happy with the results. The ridges on the ring are pronounced and firm metal, not flimsy plastic. It comes in a nice compact protective case perfect for throwing in your camera bag, not to mention the packaging had this awesome box. I know that doesn't impact the product but was cool and felt pretty fancy.
