Pump failed on the day the return window closed. Started making noise several days prior and had a recent filter change, so not filter problem.

I love this tank. But the only problem I have is the algae accumulations on my silicone decorations and my little house. Has anyone had this issue? Or any tips

We like the optical illusion that the sides of the tank gives off but the light mysteriously turns on after we turn it off every night. Wish there was a better button option for this light.Also, the way that the light settings are function toggling through each different light option is not working well.Being that the walls of the tank are not glass but a plastic material, fish fences stain the walls.Will be reaching out to the company to see if they can give us a new top to the tank so the light doesn’t turn on after being turned off.I will update if they help me out.

I didn’t realize the tank would be plastic from the description. It does look like glass and objects in the tank are very clear and visible. I think the curvature of the plastic magnifies objects in the tank- so things look multiple times their actual size. Small plants look like towering trees. I gave it a chance and am happy with the results. The fish are happy too. It’s a well designed tank. Also the filter does provide slight oxygenation- another thing the description wasn’t clear about. I did add a separate air pump to the tank to keep the fish happy.

A grandchild brought home 3 goldfish from the preschool carnival. I raised African Cichlids for years so I was tasked with keeping the fish alive. I initially found a very nice 5 gallon tank that had all I needed including rocks at a very reasonable $40. The drawback is that it is very hard to keep clean. I found it easier to get a new tank than to undue the neglect my daughter did to the tank over the last 6 months. This tank was a very inexpensive replacement. It looks good, not as good as the last one. It was really easy to set up and the fish are still alive so I consider it a good investment. I will buy it again when this one gets too nasty to clean.

I love this aquarium. It is the perfect size for my small desk and perfect for college students who want a little pet fish to keep them company. It only takes up a little space, but it is very spacious for the fish to swim around. I also really enjoy that the filter that is included only takes up a little space in the tank. The light that comes attached to the lid has so many different colors and light settings. The aquarium was very easy to set up and do water changes. This fish tank was effortless to set up in as little as a couple of minutes. This tank is excellent for its price as well as for its size, and it is a great value for your money. My betta fish, Bubbles, really enjoys his new home and is thriving with all the swimming room he has. You do have to be careful when cleaning the walls as it is acrylic and can scratch easily. The shipping was relatively fast, and the aquarium came in perfect condition. At first, I was a bit skeptical with some reviews saying that the light didn't work and the filter stopped working as well after a couple of months, but I was pleased that my light and filter are still working perfectly after four months, and it is going on strong. Although the filter didn't work right away, it did take a couple of minutes to see the water flow out of the filter. Overall, it is a really great purchase, and if I get another fish, I will buy another as the aquarium quality is excellent for how much I am paying. This product is a 10/10, and I recommend it to others looking for an aquarium around this price range.

I purchased this aquarium through Amazon about 6 weeks ago and so far, so good! If anything goes downhill I'll update this review. The first thing I noticed was the lid on mine is a good bit different from the photo and that also includes the LEDs in it. So it looks to me as if I got a newer lid than those people here who have had the LEDs go out on them. My on/off button is on the opposite side from the above photo. The LEDs are well enclosed behind a clear plastic shield and I have yet to experience any condensation on the LED side of this clear plastic cover. Also, the ad above says the LEDs in this tank are bright white/blue/white-blue. My LEDs are bright white/blue/red/green and variants allowed by those colors. When I have it set to dim between color changes, I also see yellows, violets, etc. I also purchased a 25-watt heater for the tank. This tank lid has a perfectly sized cut-out to remove for a heater. It also has a cut-out to enable use of a larger filter. The filter that comes with the tank fits nicely under the hood, If you use the tank with no added heater (or maybe a bottom-styled heater where you just need to run its cord under the edge of the lid) you would have no problem with escaping residents!!! I've not had fish in many years (used to have 50-gallon tanks) and this tank is more of an effort to give my fat cat some pets of her own to be interested in!! LOL!!! At this point in time, I am very happy with this little 5-gallon set up and would definitely buy it again provided the lid is constructed as this one is over the LEDs!! Quite happy!
