First, I didn’t realize this was so small. We had a large Kong Knot Fox the dogs have loved and annihilated for the last 6 years or so and I wanted to get another one. This toy is suuuper small. Additionally, the head broke open exposing the squeaker in a matter of weeks, whereas our fox has held up for 6 years. The size issue is just from me not realizing there were different sizes, though the value is definitely not there. But I am pretty disappointed in the quality.

I had purchased one of these for my dog when she was 3 months old and it lasted a while. I purchased another one recently and it was destroyed in less than 20 minutes. Do not buy this if your dog is an aggressive chewer. I will be returning the other Kong toy that is similar.

We have two aggressive chewers with our corgis and the Kong products are literally the only ones that last and are worth any money.

My Shihpoo fur babies love this “baby”. It’s one of their favorites and it is very durable. My fur babies are 9.5lbs and 7lbs and this small size is perfect for them. I would definitely recommend!

Took quite a while for the squeaker to be removed, a bit longer for the rope innards. Patterdales known to be destructive but the body is still holding together and it's still being thrown about

Can’t say enough. We have the original bought for our Shelby—6 years! It is worn but still in use with occasional stitches to repair it. It’s her favorite and we have one unused on reserve because she loves it so much. have purchased in all 3 sizes, this small one for a new puppy. The squeak is an attention getter signaling it’s chase and tug time.

We've named her, "Miss Squirrel" as my little 4lb Morkie LOVES her! He drags her around the house - she's almost the same size as my puppy! She's well made with ropes inside for chewing. Her nose squeaks and he loves that! Recently Miss Squirrel has become the only toy that he gets a little "frisky" with as he is not neutered yet. So poor Miss Squirrel goes on dates and ends up in the bedroom with him. This is the ONLY toy he does this with - so every once in a while we save her and remove her from him (so he can catch his breath) - LOL! She has withstood the abuse! Great toy!

My Cocker Spaniel is a chewer and is pretty rough on his toys, and he loves squirrels. Over all this toy has been as durable as expected. He does throw it around in the air and loves to try to kill the squeaker in it but as of 02/23/2015 it has held up. I do see negative reviews for some of the Kong products and I must confess to being baffled as to why dog owners expect a CHEW TOY to last forever. I have purchased toys in the past that in the first day he has destroyed but I must also tell myself that he is a dog and that is what they do so buying 20 and 30 dollar toys is kind of silly. For the price I think these are great toys and if they last that's great. I do think they should not rip apart on the first day but again that depends on the dog.
