I did our first bedroom with a chop saw,, did the other three bedrooms with this product!!! Wow I wish I would have bought this for all the floors, saved so much time cutting in the room and no mess, our laminate floor was 12mm thick and this cut it with ease

after so many reviews complaining about holes not align to vase for assembly I expected somebody put more attention and fix the issue but no still is an issue my unit do not assemble because holes do not align with vase I have to drill holes to be able to assemble unit see sample reviews The 2 main screws that hold the base aluminum support to the blade mechanism did not align. The 4 small screws holding the black base aligned correctly, but the main support screws did not. The unit seems very good, but impossible to safely assemble.

This thing is great for cutting and trimming vinyl planks. There are lots of ways to cut vinyl plank flooring since it isn't super tough material. Each have their pros and cons. I have a cordless Ryobi flooring saw that also works great. The con with the Ryobi is the dust and noise. It makes a lot of debris when cutting so you have to cut in a different area than you're laying plank. So there's lots of getting up and down to cut unless you have a helper to do all the cutting. You can cut LVP with a utility knife too, but the cuts aren't clean breaks and you don't have enough leverage to snap if you just need to trim a little off the end/edge of a board. This guillotine machine makes very nice clean cuts with a minimum amount of physical force due to the leverage. I set the machine on the floor at the end of a row and cut the boards on the floor as needed; I don't have to get up to cut which is a huge time saver. I was super bummed when I first got this machine because the holes in the I beam of the Guillotine did not line up with the screws in the aluminum base support piece; it couldn't be assembled. No doubt a manufacturing defect or out of tolerance machining. I returned that unit to Amazon for a replacement. The replacement came a few days later and its perfect this time. I love this machine, it almost makes laying plank fun....almost.

So glad we decided to buy this. Cuts well, clean and so far has held up nicely - we’ve laid and cut about 1500 sqft of 6mm vinyl planks. So much easier than pallet knife or saw. 👍

Easier to use than a mitre saw ! Cut 12mm x 6” wide Aquaguard performance flooring with ease. Well built and very stable once you figure out how to use it. My 13 yr old son and 16 yr old daughter were able to use it with ease after sliding a 2’ metal pipe over the handle for added leverage and the clean up was a breeze compared to the saw which we almost needed a respirator because of the fine powder like dust particles, with this we just periodically swept and picked up the scrap pieces and dropped it in a 5 gal bucket. Did 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and sharpened it once.

I bought this for use in installing roughly 400 square feet of Lifeproof LVP in our home. It was easy to set up and did a great job at slicing through the planks with little to no chipping. The attached photo is of one of the last pieces cut and fully representative of the quality throughout the job. Cutting the planks required almost no effort. Overall, well worth the investment IMO.

I used this cutter for laminate floor (8mm). Am happy with the job it did. Easy to install, clean cuts and less dust. Make sure to sharpen the blade once you bit 80 cuts. It’s good for straight cuts only.

We used this cutter at our duplex. My wife measured and cut the pieces as I laid the out. The cutter was accurate and easy to use and handled most any cuts including shaving off 1/8th of an inch. It saves time and a mess that comes from a miter saw. Easy to assemble and use near the job. Can't go wrong with it!

I’m installing about 1200sqft of 7” wide, 6mm thick SPC vinyl plank flooring in my house and wanted a tool that would be cleaner than having to cut every piece on my miter saw and easier than having to score pieces by hand and manually break them.This guillotine style cutter is working perfectly for this job. So far I’ve installed about 500sqft and it has been excellent. The cuts are super clean and straight. You need a bit of pressure to execute the cut, but nothing too crazy. The blade locks in the down position for storage. It also comes with a honing stone for future sharpening. Overall very satisfied with it so far.

Set it all up in anticipation of doing the laminate flooring 12mm thickness. Drew the line, put it under the blade and then pressed. Crumbling noise followed by bits of plastic falling out of the contraption and it didn't even make a dent. The machine was ready break but the laminate just laughed. Can't return it as I had recycled the box. It is now sitting in the garden waiting for my next trip to the dump. Absolutely useless don't buy. It cost me £112 for the experience. If you listen to this advice it will cost you nothing.

I was a little hesitant to purchase the tool with the reduced price, but after using it on a laminate flooring job, could not ask for a better tool. Very sturdy and excellent cutting ability. I can’t wait to try it on a siding job. I highly recommend this item.
