Works perfectly no issues. We even tested it on our dog and it read her chip easily.

This is the first time I've used a microchip scanner, so I don't know how it compares to others, but I'm amazed by how easy it is to use.The scanner is lightweight, easy to hold, and not scary to the dog. It wasn't charged when it arrived, so I put it on a charger for ten minutes, just long enough to power it up so I could test it on my dog. (Later, it took less than an hour for a full charge.) The beeper went off almost immediately as I started to scan him. It was loud enough to startle both of us, so the first thing I did was lower the volume using the menu. Other menu settings can adjust screen brightness, set time and date, and delete all records (up to 500 stored). The display is simple, but clear and easy to read.Strays seem to be drawn to me, so having a scanner at home is a very good thing.

Every animal we have has been microchipped for tracking purposes. However, if you ever asked us what the number on each chip was, you'd probably hear crickets. In the past, readers like this were expensive and hard to come by. Seeing them readily available at such an affordable price, I just had to try one out to see if they were the real deal.To use the device, you simply power it on by pressing the large button in the middle. Once on, you simply use the buttons on either side to scroll to the scan menu option, press the middle button to select, which will put it in scanning mode, and them simply run the ring over the area where the chip was inserted. In my case, I tested both of our dogs. Initially it wasn't finding anything and I was starting to doubt this device worked. That is until my wife started laughing at me. While I should know better, for some reason I was attempting to scan the area around the back of the skull. If you've ever had a pet microchipped, you'll know that they generally put it farther back, usually between the shoulder blades. Once I corrected for human error and the scanner was over the insertion area, it immediately picked up the chip and returned its number. It was literally a split second after the wand passed over the chip. When I tested the second dog, I got a very similar speedy response time. We continued to get the same results on repeated tests. The scanner is rechargeable via USB-C and, apparently, can also export data using the same cable. I don't utilize any software that I would need to export to so I can't speak to this function. Speaking of functions, there are several other menu options such as a record of (10) past scans, the ability to clear that log, export options, and a variety of settings such as sound and brightness. The device comes with a nice little manual that clearly explains them all.Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with this little scanner. It's quick, does the job and is relatively inexpensive. If you need something just to track your own pets or help identify a stray, this could be a tool for you.

The KUIIYER Pet Microchip Scanner is a wonderful addition to my collection of electronic gadgets. I have another scanner that works well for basic use, but it doesn’t store 500 records like this one does! This model is accurate and successfully reads the RFID tags on my chickens and pigs in Mexico, as well as the microchips in my dogs in America. The LCD screen is clear, and the rechargeable battery is a plus.I highly recommend this tool for anyone needing a reliable and affordable microchip reader.

This is a nice device for reading a pet's microchip, so you can confirm that it is installed property and matches the number you were told by your vet. You can also use it to scan for microchips in lost animals.
