I used this to compress and change out springs on my 2002 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T engine. This had the right size ends to compress the springs and did it easier and more controlled than the type with the squeeze handle. I originally bought the large spring compressor from Harbor Freight but it was too big for my exhaust springs and was difficult to use. This was a little time consuming but worked perfectly.The built quality is a little cheap, the ends are a little loose when you attach them but they have nice big openings on the side so you can get out your valve spring retainers/keepers.Good value for the money and made the job as painless as it could be. I would recommend this to a friend.

I just did a valve job on a 5.4 32 valve engine heads and This tool made my job easier than I expected. Very easy and precise. Recommend and proven to be effective.

This tool worked very well to compress my valve springs. I struggled with several valve compressor tools I had for over an hour with no luck and tons of frustration. They were too big to compress the small spring of the 1.6L (Ford Fiesta). I used the 25mm or 1" adapter. This new tool took me 5 minutes for the 1st one and about two minutes each thereafter to compress the springs and install keepers. Best of all it was stress free! I did however use a 5/16" stove bolt and thin fender washer to secure the valve in place through the spark plug hole. It did not interfere with this tool and made the process a little easier. (I had this installed before I even got this tool, and didn't need to remove it. This looks like it would work with any head design and valve spring of any size up to 1-1/4" in diameter. 5/5 stars

The threaded rods would not pass through the C clamp completely. Needed to rethread the C clamp with M12 x 1.75 tap. Otherwise it worked for my application.
