I haven't purchased much from Lab Fish on Amazon since their products are always a little more than the competition, but everything I have purchased from them blows me away. This product is no exception.First of all, I have about a dozen lab stands and the packaging of this stand is on a whole nother level. The attention to detail is amazing and reflects in the product itself.When comparing this stand to my others, the higher quality is apparent. The base is extremely sturdy and distributed very well due to its base. Even the cross clamps are the same story. It's really impressive.In any case, I needed a stand to hold a split reaction flask chamber with a 5 inch diameter. It's obvious this is meant to connect with a mixer, but turns out it's even better fitting for my purposes. The offset post is another functional bonus, allowing for multiple cross clamp angled accessories.If $ wasn't an issue, I would outfit my lab with everything Lab Fish. Unfortunately, the quality is reflected in its price. It's not astronomical, but when getting a lab up initially, you have to be clever with what you invest in to start. I hope one day to upgrade all my other components and stands, but for the time being, I'll just have all my other pieces green with envy until it's financially possible to replace everything else.

This stand is very quality and extremely well built. I wasn't sure what to expect from a company with a name like Lab Fish, so my expectations were very low... However, they were blown away when the item arrived. Everything is packaged smartly and the attention to detail and quality of the stand is really amazing. I can see how it would work great with a stirrer but for stabilizing beakers of various sizes, it works very well for that purpose. I'm happy with this stand and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to use more Lab Fish products in the near future.
