Plate is not thick enough for the torque of a 420 or larger. It flexes throwing either the chain or belt under hard load. Not happy with this

First of all, you have to change the secondary spring from the one that comes with it to a reverse wound spring. Those are available from omb warehouse. I tried to order the clutch from them because theirs come with the reverse wound spring installed, they were out of stock so I got the reverse wound spring from them. The other thing I had to modify was the primary clutch keyway. I had to grind some of it away so the primary clutch would seat properly on the crankshaft of a predator 420. The key stops it short causing an alignment issue shown on another review. I also saw on another review that the shaft broke. This was caused because he had the sprocket at the end of the shaft. The sprocket must be installed between the driven clutch and the bearing on the mounting plate.

Before you run these clutches you need to buy a genuine comet belt, the one supplied is not quality. Also you have to take apart the drive clutch and lubricate it to function properly. They don't come lubricated Use dry lubricant on everything except the belt sheaves. And in my pictures is how the pulleys should be facing, I see people put the drive clutch facing outwards because that looks right but it's not. The 40 series is designed for the driven pulley to face inward so without that you must flip the drive pulley for belt alignment. Easy to install and I reached speeds of up 65 mph on the quad I put it on.

Fit well, decent build quality, good value for $ spent, belt that came supplied is marginal, spend some extra $ and buy a well made performance belt now especially if your predator 420 has been modified, it’ll shred the factory belt in first 5 hours most likely.

It came ...damaged ...and bent or badly built right out of the box . I modified the jack shaft before checking for straightness so didn't bother to return it but yeah . Waste of time and money . I will not.buy from this manufacturer again
