Hook has a round metal strip on top and one on bottom to strengthen the flat metal. The round strengtheners do not overlap each other. This causes a weak joint where they meet. This meeting area, that doesn't overlap, will bend. i ordered 2 sets, so i had to cut 4 pieces of rebar, that i had in my garage, to weld to the weak area. I used the hooks to hang over the ridge on my roof, which is very steep, to replace blown off shingles. For the price, it was worth modifying.

Hooks well to roof ridge allows for "first person up" to install anchors or access things on roof. Somewhat hard to assemble if not on completely level surface. It will make the ladder top heavy which is kind of the point.

This is a great idea but wish they were a little more solid and easier to get on and off the ladder. I didnβt find a lot of other options and these got the job done. I donβt know if I will use them a lot just because the set up is kind of slow.Update: I am adding a start because the company was gracious enough to care about my review and reach out. They encouraged me to use it some more and I will say that once they are assembled the process becomes easier. The wheels make it easy to manner the ladder up to the ridge and flip it over and it holds secure; there is no worry of it breaking loose or sliding on the ridge.
