Others have described the desk very well. It’s sturdy and easy to assemble while light (and therefore easy to move to wherever it’s needed). Importantly, unlike a lot of lap desks, this one is large enough to be useful to most people. The phone stand and the pockets are just thoughtful additions.I wish I could adequately convey how much I want to keep this lap desk. 😆 It is just what I’ve been looking for for a looooong time…but this is for donation and donated it will be. I think that the person who gets it will be at least as pleased with it as I am.

If you spend a lot of time using your laptop in bed or on the couch, this lap desk from Optixcell is a must-try. It’s thoughtfully designed, super comfortable, and really helps with posture and productivity. I mainly use my laptop and tablet in bed, and this has completely replaced the old pillow setup I used to rely on.The dual armrest design is a standout feature — the 6° adjustable tilt provides just the right angle for natural elbow and wrist support, which has made typing much more comfortable and reduced strain during longer sessions. The lap desk’s surface is spacious without being bulky, and it has a really sleek, ergonomic feel. Not to mention how simple it is to assemble with no tools required.I also really appreciate the built-in phone and tablet holder. The adjustable height and angle make it perfect for watching videos, taking calls, or using a second screen while working. It’s stable and easy to use, though I do wish the mounting position was a bit more flexible — it’s centered by default, and I think it would be great if you had the option to mount it on either corner instead.The legs are sturdy and nicely upholstered, which gives the whole setup a premium feel. This is a very sturdy table, albeit a tad large. For reference, I'm 5'1" and 130lbs (size sm/med). I fit under this table with enough room to spare that, I cannot sit fully Indian style, but can easily curl one leg under me when using this table. This means larger or more normal sized humans should still be able to comfortably use this table. Because I am smaller, I was afraid that arms would be too tall to be comfortable. And yes, they are tall, but not uncomfortably so. Instead, I found myself sitting with my arms largely relaxed on the armrests.As I mentioned, this table feels very sturdy. To put it together, you simply push the wooden top down into slots on each leg. Once it's put together, it stays so solidly that you can lift and move it by the table top without it coming out of the legs. There are also pockets on both sides of the legs. These would be accessible if I used this in bed or on an open couch, but they are largely covered on our theater style couch.They provide a allen wrench to attach the cell phone holder. Once installed, it is also very sturdy. I found that it did not easily move or adjust when I first installed it because, even though I did not not crank it down, I had still tightened it too much for easy movement. I backed the tension off a tad and it was more easily adjustable. As you can see from the pictures, the cell phone holder is firmly in the center of your face. It is spring loaded so in order to put your phone in it, you stick in the bottom of your phone and push down to extend the holder to the size of your phone. Then pop it in and it very securely held. It held my iPhone 14 plus with no issues.Logically, the full center placement of the cell holder is optimal if your doom scrolling device of choice is the phone, but if you use this table for a laptop or to eat, that cell phone holder is fully in your line of vision. Since I use a laptop the majority of the time, I don't love the placement of cell phone holder. I would much prefer that I be able to move it to one corner. Because of this, I may just take it off completely.My 13" tablet, in a simple folding padfolio case, fits perfectly in the laptop slot (see photos). That being said, you aren't likely to actually USE the tablet while its in the slot since 1) the entire bottom of it is down inside the groove 2) the cell phone holder hangs over the top of your device. Because of that, I have no idea why anyone would use the slot to hold their device.Overall, if you want something sturdy that will truly act as a table, this is it. It is stable and large enough to function well while being used with my laptop and a mouse. If you want something that just keeps you from having your device in your lap while doom scrolling this may be a bit overkill.

I love this let desk. I'm using it right now laying flat on my back in bed, and the lap desk is light enough and designed well enough you can adapt it to many different positions, how you want.The boom arm is surprisingly high quality metal, with heavy duty tension nuts, on the pivot points with a hex tool so that you can set them exactly how you want, and it will stay.Before this I was sitting in an unusual shaped papasan style folding chair, and though the desk rode kind of high because of the clamshell design, I was even able to use it there omfortably.The pockets are big enough to be functional, the fabric feels durable enough to last some time, there is a nice pen or pencil tray in the desktop, the clip-in anchor for the tablet type or phone device is rock solid, the clamp is well designed and opens equal distant both directions as you pull it open, and it will hold larger sized devices like tablets, not just phones. Double check the parameters in the product description to make sure your tablet is within the size range of course.I always like to do pros and cons to be fair, and the only thing resembling a con is that the device bracket is sized such that your Android phone will only fit end to end, not crosswise. This does not affect functionality at all, as the device sits in a socket joint that can rotate 360° completely and freely, so there is no functionality impact. On top of everything else the fabric looks nice and the wood grain like finish on the desktop looks good. I only wish I had one of these sooner.
