We live in Oregon with lots of trees that constantly drop there leaves & needles. It was a pain having to constantly clean our filter equipment. This leaf catcher has saved us a lot of work, and is easy to install and empty.

the capacity is great easy to open and clean, used to have to empty the brand name filter once a week, this will go a month between cleanings and it's easy to open and close

First time use, connected to pool and plastic immediately developed stress marks but maintained pressure and collected debris. The sock bag should have been an indicator of the quality of the product when after the first day of use it began to stretch and deteriorate. I have used knee high stockings for over 10 years and they have done much better. Anyways, a couple of days ago, I cleaned my filter and emptied canister. Re-connected canister. After pump gained full suction I noticed a sound of air suctioning into canister. Inspection of the canister revealed that the stress mark turned into a stress crack rendering the canister useless. Yes cheap price until you’re replacing it every 3 months if you’re lucky. Not for in ground pools. I have a 20,000 gallon pool.

This leaf catcher does work however I did have to seek out and purchase the liner and seem to have to empty mote frequently than my last one which was quite a bit bigger. This would be a great addition to smaller pools with trees above. Would recommend a larger stronger built catcher for large pools with trees above. That being said This does make an excellent skimmer replacement when you want to get away for a few days and still leave the pumps on for circulation :)

First off, it comes with couple of connections, so the bottom fits on a regular pool suction hose.The top I used one if the 2 connections to fit regular hoses. Overall looks like this will be a great option.Keep in mind the mind the more leaves you have you may have to empty the filter multiple times.I clean the pool once a month on the winter, this way I don't have a ton of leaves, however I suggest not to use the sock, it will plug up to fast.The sock will be great in the summer.......Design is much better then the fip up idea which breaks and coats double the money
