They saw tooth hangers are great. They come with proper screws you can put in with a small Phillips screwdriver. For the money you can't beat them even if you only use a few. You can see the smaller old ones to the right on the frame that were put in with nails.

I recently decided to finally frame everything that needs framing. I purchased quite a few frames, but not all of them had hangers on the back or on my preferred side. I've used several of these and they are working out fine.I'm also making some frames and I'm confident these will work well. Please note their size. They are bigger than what I think of as the standard size. Not a problem for me, but note the size and make sure they are the size you want.To avoid splitting your picture frames, I recommend drilling tiny starter holes for your hangers.
