Mixed Neocaridina Shrimp are popular among the shrimp hobby and are great for beginners! 10 shrimps per gallon is usually the recommended rule. Neocaridina Shrimp are hardy, non-aggressive and spend most of their time eating algae and biofilm off plants, glass, and substrate, making them an awesome clean up crew for your tank. Simply dechlorinate clean tap water or RO water, cycle your tank with some plants and your new shrimp colony has the opportunity to thrive. Please do keep in mind to avoid using tap water that is heavy in metals or chemicals that are not healthy for your shrimp. Please make sure that all foods or aquarium fertilizers are shrimp-safe when dosing your tanks. Proper Tank Parameters for a successful Neocaridina colony: Temperature: 65-80F pH 6.5-8 TDS 170-250 ppm GH 5.5-8 Quality Shrimp Breeding: We will provide you with a healthy ratio of females to male shrimp so you can have your own colony that can take off! Try to keep different colors of neocaridina separate to maintain offspring color and purity. Inbreeding different species types can result in a duller “brown” colored offspring. Each of our shrimp are high grade shrimps with genetic lineages tracing from award winning breeders in Taiwan. Shrimp Food: There are many shrimp foods out on the market. They do well with dry foods such as fish flakes(without metals) or fresh vegetables such as boiled spinach. Please boil any fresh vegetables and let air-cool before placing in tank for sterilization purposes. Decorate your tank: Neocaridina shrimp LOVE grazing on different types of plants such as java moss, taiwan moss, fissidens, bucephalandra, java fern. Baby shrimps also like grazing on floating plants such as dwarf water lettuce, Salvinia minima, and Frogbit.

I was very skeptical when I placed this order because I understand how delicate these little guys can be, especially to water and temperature fluctuations. They were coming from Las Vegas to Arizona, in the middle of summer, and with a warehouse overnight stay or two. I figured there was no way they would all be alive. Upon arrival, ALL OF THE SHRIMP were lively, colorful, big and healthy! I’m writing this review about 10 days after purchase and every shrimp is still flourishing. I will purchase again from this seller and have recommended them to others in the hobby!!

One dead looked like got caught up in the twist in the bag and died was still trapped there when opened the box. was not eaten on so figure had not been dead a long time. The rest were in very good shape and active. Introduced them to the tank and they all went to eating right away. I hate that one died but that kind of thing is going to happen in shipping. I was concerned about the time took USPS to get them to me butstill a very the rest were all healthy and active.

-day 12 update-Our shrimp are alive and well! They are incredible little cleaners and are constantly working to keep my 55gal guppie tank clean. I have about 150 guppies/15 shrimp and I plan to order at least another 20 shrimp to hopefully encourage mating. All in all if you are looking for a unique addition to your tank I would highly recommend!!We got our shipment in two days after ordering and unfortunately a few shrimp didn’t make it during shipment (I honestly expected some casualties). I contacted the seller and within 24 hours they replied and we came to a more than fair resolution. I received my new shipment of shrimp today and they all made it! I am very happy with the live shrimp and the customer service I was provided. I definitely plan on ordering another round of shrimp to hopefully establish a good grouping in my tank!
