Missing a relief cut, doesn't fit into valve. Ended up using the larger gaskets only

I have an older model, Kohler, San Rafael toilet, which kept leaking. I didn’t want to spend the money on an entirely new water valve, so I took a chance and purchased this replacement part. Installation was quick and simple and the toilet works great now.
