Another does what it says on the tin laser tool. It's a copy of a Ford tool, and is ideal for replacing sensors such as the coolant/cylinder head temp sensor.Some people modify their own sockets and spanners, but this has nice rounded edges and is cheap enough to justify even for one job

Replacing an engine coolant temp sensor. Couldn't find one locally, and this was almost the only option here as well. Other than the shipping taking a while (from the UK), it arrived on time and worked perfectly. This is a 16 point socket. Normally I'd prefer a 6 point, but it worked just fine.

This did not work for the purpose that I intended to use it for. I bought it as what I thought would be an affordable alternative to the much more expensive 'deep-well' 15MM sensor socket that is required to R&R the ECTS ( Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) on my 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer that has the inline 6-cylinder (I-6) engine. Long story short, this socket is too shallow in depth, not having enough of an open slot to accommodate the ECTS's wiring without almost crushing it, and even then, the socket only slides onto the hex head of the ECTS about half way. For the small amount that this socket cost, I will keep it in my tool chest, and hopefully find a use for it someday.
