Its obviously simulated leather as advertised, but it has a nice feel after working it a bit to soften it a little. I really only needed it to make a grip wrap for a hiking stick of mine, and it worked well enough for that. Wood glue works wonders to adhere this stuff to almost anything, so something to keep in mind if you're getting this for a crafting project. It will snap if you cut thinner strips and put enough pull pressure on it, so it might not be the best option for keychains or lanyards. It would probably be fine as a purse strap if left as is. I cut a thinner piece to thread through my walking stick as a wrist loop, it seems alright now, but I snapped a few thinner strips on my first few tries threading it through. I had to widen the hole, but I still worry if it gets snagged on a hike it'll most likely snap. Overall though, it's a good budget option for something that resembles leather, especially if it's just for a small project.

As described and the dimensions are accurate. The strip I received had minor blemishes along the length, but nothing to stop me from using it.
