Just got mine, light appears to be very weak. At least the mounting part can hold a better light.

I find that I can even use it to attach my EDC flashlight to my motorcycle helmet. I also like the fact that is that it is adjustable which it saves a lot of neck exercise to get the light beam where I wanted it.

The light is bright and very nice. The bracket does not fit my hard hat but I was able to make it work. I like it

I have now purchased two and have referred this product to 5 others. The light installs easily and is durable. I use this light on my MSA 1040, it only takes 1 AA battery (not included,) shines brightly, and lasts a while. I, as well as many others I know, have been in some good fires with it and it has held up perfectly. Highly recommend.

Got the mount and flashlight, worked great the firs day I used it but the 2nd day it wouldn’t turn on. Now it will randomly turn on and off. I love the mount but I’m going to have to get a different flashlight

I do heavy equipment operator training sometimes at night.Yesterday we were hit by Tropical storm Fiona. I had to go out in the storm during the night to check and re-secure things in my yard. The light is attached to my hard hat . It provided excellent hands free light. Very pleased.

Hydrovacer, bought this so I could see in the hole for doing daylights but it barely lights up the ground I'm standing on, useless.

I was going to give this thing a three to four star review. As a light it works great it can focus quite a ways away not talking like 20 ft but really shines around 5 ft to 10 ft. If you're looking down a lot of holes or tight spaces this thing works the best. I would often use this instead of my headlamp to look down concrete bore holes in the middle of the day. I believe all I did was tighten the s*** out of it and it stayed on my head the whole time I still have the bracket on my old helmet. With that being said the thing that pisses me off the most about this light is that if you have it on your helmet and you're not constantly tightening it it has the tendency to fall apart or a better term come loose. That first you'll probably lose the lens which helps it focus on a certain point then from there the light is just a light and not a good one at that and then possibly your battery is going to fall out. I'm actually not going to buy this one again. I'm actually going to buy one that's way more expensive just to see if it works a better and different. Which I believe it's called a streamlight Vulcan 180. I haven't used that particular model so I cannot leave a review in this review about it.

I don't think there's any dislikes I have on this light, it sure beats paying $100 plus dollars for one and it looks great on my full brim hard hat, lightweight and bright enough for what I need and use it for, I'm glad I bought this light it complements my hard hat and will never leave it, 10/26/21 UPDATE: New England Noreaster weather plenty of rain and wind gusts to spare 40°F this light has survived being in back of a utility bucket truck in these elements at 50+ MPH, and still alive I'm very satisfied and will recommend "life mounts" to others.

I've got it mounted on my fire helmet with no problems and the light works well. Hasn't been in any high temperature fire situations yet but works great in cold smoke. I love the fact that it uses AA batteries that are available everywhere and I don't have to search out the special lithium batteries that other helmet lights use. Plus being able to quickly remove the light from the helmet via the Velcro strap gives me a hand held light that I can use in an instant for inspecting places I can't get the helmet into. It is a great and very inexpensive addition to my personal safety equipment.
