While the UVB reptile light offers a range of lighting modes and adjustable brightness, I do not recommend it for turtles. After using it, my turtle became sluggish, and after switching to a different light with stronger UVB output, it perked back up to its old self, suggesting this light does not provide enough UVB to keep turtles healthy.Might be good for plants.

This is quite a small light, but it works really well. I can set the brightness and the timer functions and it's pretty hands off, set it and forget it. I am a little baffled at the price of the light though considering it is so small.

This light is much smaller than I expected. I have small hands & it is the size of my palm.

This LED reptile lamp is perfect for any enclosure for all small friends that need heat and light. The lamp has a timer attached to the lamp. The lamp also came with spring suspension coils. Overall great lamp for any reptile tank.

ITEM: UVA UVB Reptile Lamp with Dimmer and TimerCOMMENTS: I am using this over a 10gal heavily planted aquarium.PROS:- The timer, dimmer, and light adjustment features all work accurately and exactly as expected.- The cord length is perfect (to me). Just enough length that it makes for easy placement arrangement/access to the controller, but not so long that it becomes frustrating to manage.- I really like the hook attachment style - it’s really secure to the lid and I’ve had no issue with shifting while opening or taking off of the lid, nor any problems from investigating cats.- I’ve really loved the amount of light adjustment that’s available here. A lot of flexibility in the tank presentation.NEUTRALS:- Haven’t seen much impact on the plants; time will tell.CONS:- This is more of a neutral/con, but want people to be aware of it. I’m skeptical of the actual UVA/UVB output from these - especially when it comes to reptiles and animals that absolutely need this exposure.. I would be wary of using this for critical exposure use without solarmeter testing (either personally or from another reviewer). I personally don’t have a high need for the UV specifically, so unless I stumble into a reason for needing a solarmeter I’ll likely not have an answer for this, but encourage anyone else with one to report in or check for yourself if you’re using it for a purpose that it’s required.WOULD I PURCHASE? (Any prices noted are as of the time of writing): For my purposes (mainly tank lighting with the hope - but not need - of some uv exposure), yes, I’m really satisfied with the amount of control it offers between timing and dimming. While I find the price tag of $39.99 a little high, I also find it worth it for the features it offers. Out of all the different types of tank lights I’ve tried, I’m most partial to this one, so would definitely purchase it for future needs. My rating system is: 5 = no/minimal complaints, very pleased 4 = minor complaints, overall satisfied, but could be better 3 = notable complaints, overall average to ‘meh’ 2 = significant complaints, unhappy and will not keep/use 1 = entirely complaints, misleading descriptions, straight to the trash product.

This is a relatively small LED lamp - useful mostly for a relatively small enclosure or as a supplemental light in a larger habitat. Light comes with a set of springs to attach to the screen top. Has built-in timer - so don't plug into a regular light timer. This is light only, will not provide heat.I found it very difficult to determine which mode is activated - there are three - one is UVA, and two different UVB intensities. The UVB is what I want as that is what most reptiles need that is not provided by standard bulbs. Desert creatures like a more intense light - UVB 10 (or higher), anoles or other rainforest critters like less. Once you figure out the setting, the light will remember it, so no need to keep adjusting. Brightness control helps when setting the light on the enclosure as the distance away from the lamp makes a difference.Again, this light is designed for a small enclosure, you would be better off with a T-5 bulb in anything larger.

Love it, and it works perfectly for what i needed, The unit itself is pretty small and has a low profile. The unit is made of aluminum and puts together in 3 pieces. The lens over the leds is plastic and thin, for most people this will be just fine, for me i will change out with a piece of circle cut glass. The unit does not appear waterproof, so if this is a concern then you should use some silicone and seal the rings around the leds, the ring does remove and it would be easy to perform. All and all this is a great uva uvb light that fits in a really slim small area and doesn't produce a ton of heat when in a cabinet.
