Larger and bulkier than I expected but worked well

I needed a smaller, lower-profile fixture than the common sized ones. This worked perfectly. I use it with a ceramic heat emitter and a daylight bulb. The thin metal was concerning at first, but it has held up well and I have no issues with it.

Just bought a baby bearded dragon and am in the early stages of learning how to care for him. I have him in a 100-gallon tank and decided to order this light fixture in the large size. I also ordered a stand holder to hold this lamp fixture as I didn't want it sitting on top of the cage. I currently have two 100W Reptile Night Heat Bulbs Night in this fixture. The ceramic sockets are well made and I would not have installed two 100W bulbs if I they were not ceramic. The reflection interior is also a big plus as the heat is focused into the cage. I like this light fixture because it has two separate switches that control each socket. They are both on the one cord going to the AC outlet. But I can turn one on and keep the other light off. This fixture is metal and does get hot but not so hot that I can't touch it. You could put two different blubs in this fixture and control them separately. I have it hanging on a lamp pole designed for these types of fixtures and it hangs perfectly without any issues. I am going to order a second fixture and put a UVB blub on one side and a sun bulb on the other side. My cage is so large this will work perfectly. I also ordered a second reptile light stand. I recommend this light fixture.

Easy to add to a small terrarium. The lights are individually controlled with an on/off switch on the same outlet. No dimmers, no timers. In that way it’s pretty barebones, but for a “starter per” budget that’s perfectly alright.Even if you don’t intend to hang it, you can add the hanger clips and use them as a handle for removing the light off the lid.The entire body is metal and the light sockets are ceramic so hot bulbs should be safe, as long as the metal itself isn’t sitting on anything meltable or flammable. However with 50 total watts of heat inside I still find the shell cool enough to the touch. For this reason I also feel comfortable setting it down on a nearby surface briefly even with the lamps on when I need to open the lid. With higher wattage it might be too hot to handle except for by the clips.I find it much safer than the clip light alternative and would recommend it for a simple habitat where this would physically be a good fit.

I was looking at about five of these, and maybe I left the wrong one in my cart when I bought this, so I’m not going to give it zero stars, but…Cons- The description doesn’t say anything, but included instructions state 100w maximum bulbs. I intended to use it with a 150w ceramic heat emitter.I also apparently missed the picture which shows both socket cords coming out of the same dual switch which goes to a single plug. So my plan of having the heat emitter plugged into a thermostat and the light on a timer won’t work. The metal feels a little flimsy, but once you snap the top on it stiffens up.Pros- It clicks together pretty well and looks half decent, dimensions match the description. This should work fine for you if you don’t plan on using thermostats/timers.

This dual light fixture works great for my terrarium. It has individual switches to be able to turn each side on and off separately. I can put my gecko’s daytime light on one side and night light in the other which is effective. Install was easy and straightforward. Value is great since I can individually control each side and it seems to out off the perfect amount of heat. Great buy for your reptile.

I like this dual-light fixture. I no longer use it because I changed my setup and needed one with higher wattage but I really liked that it only used one wall outlet and it was still very useful. The side metal was slightly flimsy but not enough to make it unusable. I would get this again if I downsized reptile enclosures!
