  • This Tri Tadpole soft release button is available in Red, Purple, Fuji Green and Brass, see our other listings.
  • Our beautifully designed buttons are a perfect complement to the Lensmate Thumb Grips. Fits any shutter button with a threaded hole.
  • The aluminum models have been color anodized, then the raised portions buffed to a high polish for a striking effect. The brass models receive a similar treatment - an overall patina is applied then the raised areas buffed to a high polish for contrast.
  • All Lensmate soft release buttons are now equipped with an o-ring around the threaded shaft which creates friction between the soft release and shutter, preventing loss.
  • Most users of our thumbrests find that the new position places the first joint of the shutter finger over the shutter button when the hand is relaxed. Our soft release buttons are shaped to nestle comfortably under the index finger first joint, enabling a softer shutter release and allowing lower shutter speeds without shake.

Our beautifully designed buttons are a perfect complement to the Lensmate Thumbrests. Fits any shutter button with a threaded hole. We offer several unique engraved designs, some based on traditional Japanese family crests, in both aluminum and brass. Most users of our thumbrests find that the new position places the first joint of the shutter finger over the shutter button when the hand is relaxed. Our soft release buttons are shaped to nestle comfortably under the index finger first joint, enabling a softer shutter release and allowing lower shutter speeds without shake. Of course if you prefer using your finger tip, or it just lines up better with the shutter button you might prefer the non-engraved concave brass model, though theres no reason you couldnt use the convex model as well (mushroom shape).

I’ve purchased multiple LensMate products over the years for my Fuji cameras, and can’t say enough about the fit, finish, and function of them. These shutter release buttons make access to a smooth press ideal, not to mention the personalized look they add to my camera. And as important, the customer service is responsive, understanding, and helpful.Highly recommended products and company!

I've owned many Lensmate products over the years and have never been disappointed. I took a departure from my typical red color choice and went with the gold tadpole design and I must say, it looks amazing on the dura silver x-pro3! I also felt like the thread was a bit longer than some of my other soft release buttons for a more secure fit. As always, these soft shutter release give more torque to the shutter button so it's not just an aesthetic accessory but a highly functional one as well.I've also been pretty good about checking the tightness of the button before shooting so - knock on wood- I've yet to lose one but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase.

Attractive, functional, nicely made and all that, but…The little gasket that's meant to keep the release tightly screwed in failed to do it's job.I had the release for about 10 days when it fell off during the course of a hike in the Adirondacks despite my compulsive tightening of the thing. And no, I will not be purchasing a replacement.

This soft release is fine and reasonably attractive, but overpriced for what it is. Lensmate makes quality items and I appreciate the fact that it comes with a rubber o-ring. However, the diameter of this button was smaller than I expected; it is much smaller than my Artisan Obscura soft release and, as a result, not as easy for me to use. There is no mention of the button diameter in the info section of the product listing - had that been the case, I would have compared it to my existing button and skipped the purchase. If you like smaller nubbin-buttons you will like this one.

While the description of the button says it will fit Leica M series cameras, it does not. The threads are too small and the post is not long enough. The description needs to be corrected to reflect this.

I purchased this brass soft release button as a simple accessory for my Fujifilm X-E2. It does what it's supposed to, but my only complaint is it will come lose and fall off every once in a while. It's a good idea to keep an eye on it or you will surely lose it within a few weeks. Other than that, it's beautiful. :)

The added height and domed shape of this brass tri-tadpole soft release button adds just enough feel to make shooting with the X-E2 that much better. The brass and black button looks awesome on my all black X-E2 body and the tri-tadpole design is very distinctive. The rubber gasket under the button keeps it from loosening and getting lost.Price wise this is seriously expensive but it's very well made so I guess you get what you pay for.

This button improves the camera tremendously, because without it the shutter release is a bit of a long throw and lacks all importantimmediacy! Until I "installed" the tadpole I thought the handling and shutter action was going to be a bit of a problem with what isin most other respects a fab camera with unique qualities! The tadpole is extremely well made, and cleverly designed in BRASS with what appear to be accurate threads, and it has a small rubber gasket under the button which acts like a lock washer upon tightening.Careful with the tightening, please! Without the pressure of the rubber the soft releases really are prone to come loose and disappear. The button also is of the perfect size to give sensitive "touch" and to allow easy access to the on/off switch underneath. Nice design with unobtrusive, insightful elements as well. I guess I really like this BUTTON! Did I mention it's beautiful!
