This is a great charger overall, i have tested quite a few and have found that this is one the better units. What sets it apart from the other units is that you have the ability to monitor through your phone while the unit is charging. Now the only issue i have with the unit is that the port needs to be upgraded to a more durable and harder material. So overall a great charging unit and easy to set up. Great buy.

We installed this at one of the Air B&B rentals so our guests can charge their Tesla or other EV overnight. This charges at 15 - 16 amps when wired up to 220 volts. It will charge an EV overnight... from 20% to 80% ... when electric rates are cheaper. I wouldn't depend on this to be my primary charger... but it works great if you don't have to charge in a hurry. I have one of these that I keep in the frunk and I use it while traveling and camping.... anywhere there's a standard 110 / 120 volt outlet will charge it... slowly.. but better than no charge at all. No issues or warnings from the Tesla. It doesn't get hot like my 40amp Tesla charger. DO NOT use an extension cord with this. Overall, a good charger at a reasonable price.

This is an easy to install and use, solid charger, though works best if you don't drive too much. If you stay home often and only drive the Tesla sometimes like I do, this will work great. You can install this in a normal socket, without adjustments, and the charger works well and can also be setup using the Tuya app. You can delay charging to start when you need. The cable is thick and sturdy and doesn't get overly hot, which is important with things like this. This does not feel cheaply made at all. However, the rate of charging is slow, so if you drive a lot, you might feel a bit unsatisfied. But if you leave your Tesla in the garage often, this is a good, reliable charger.

I used this charger with both a Model 3 and a Model Y, and for a while, it did the job—gave me 60-70 miles overnight on a standard 110V outlet. The 25-foot cable was convenient, and the carry bag made it easy to store. I even thought it was a solid alternative to Tesla’s mobile charger, considering the price difference. And then... it just died. No warning, no error messages—just stopped working. I reset the breakers, pressed every button, even reinstalled the app, but nothing brought it back to life. For something this expensive, that’s frustrating. There's no real way to diagnose the issue, and support options are limited. It’s been used in a carport—not fully exposed to the elements but definitely not sitting in harsh conditions. So, yeah, I gave it a fair shot, but I can’t recommend it now. A charger should last longer than this.------ original review ------I’ve used it with both a Model 3 and a Model Y, and it reliably provides 60-70 miles of charge overnight on a standard 110V outlet. It’s portable and convenient, especially with the included carry bag and 25-foot cable, which offers flexibility in where I park to charge. There are a couple of limitations, though. First, while the description suggests “delay charging,” it’s not quite what you might expect. You can set it to start charging after a specific number of hours, but you can’t program an exact start time—you’ll need to handle that within the Tesla itself if you want precise scheduling. Additionally, while it’s Tesla-compatible, the button to open the charging port doesn’t work, so you’ll need to open it manually on the car.

This is a simple, low cost level 1 charger that maxes up at 3.7kW. By comparison, most public charge points can deliver 6kW and charge twice as fast (or half as slow would be a better way to describe it).Unlike other chargers, it is compatible with the Tuya/SmartLife IoT system, although it does not provide a lot of options other than setting the current and delayed charging; it also keeps a record of charging sessions, which helps in tracking power costs. Sadly you can't set charge schedules to limit charging to high solar power generation hours for instance -- although it could easily be added to the app in the future. It's also nice that it's using an existing platform so you don't have to add yet another app to your phone, or run the risk to see it not be updated in the future. The native cable is a NEMA 6-20 and a 5-15 adapter is included. The hefty 25 foot cable end with a Tesla NACS handle that features a functional button. Also included: a fabric pouch to protect the charge handle, two velcro straps, a velcro carry handle, and a very convenient zippered carry case. The only complaint I have with this charger is the lack of any sort of wall mount: no wall bracket, not even a couple of hook holes in the plastic frame on the back. If your outlet is high up on the wall like mine, and you're using the 5-15 adapter, you have to find a way to hold the charger's body up so it doesn't put too much weight on the plug, causing it to dislodge. I'm using a stepladder for now until I can find an adequate wall mount bracket.Overall, an excellent adapter for home if you only have a NEMA 6-20 or 5-15 outlet available (the 5-15 is the three prong plug on every house wall in the US). Using the 5-15 plug, taking a Model Y as a reference, it takes roughly 9 hours to charge for 50 miles worth. It's also a good backup to take on the road -- as long as its charging capabilities align with your driving needs.

The default should be lower power, but when this is first plugged in it defaults to full power which would quickly blow a fuse if you didn't quickly unplug it. I do not want to us a app to control and the control manually is poorly documented; requiring some trial and error to learn. The cords are very stiff, so not easy to work with. Seems well made.
