Before this, I had been using a spare hook to hold the cord with the connector just laying on a nearby shelf. I would unplug the charger from the wall most of the time since it was a really short power cord and I did not want to stress the cord from the weight of the power supply. The kit does come with a charging box holder but it was much bigger than the power supply, so I did not install that right away. I did mount the J hook and charger holder to a spare 2x4 which was a big improvement over my previous situation. Having a secure storage slot for the charger plug provided a lot more peace of mind from having it just sitting off to the side. I ultimately decided to emulate the included charger box holder with some thing smaller that I 3D printed but I could have easily just used what was included since its metal construction is very sturdy, albeit a bit larger than I needed. I could have just used some spacers to mount the charger box more securely, but I did not think of that at the time.

I installed the EV charger holder wall mount kit, and it’s been a great addition. The J-Hook and holster dock securely hold my connector and charging cable, keeping everything organized. It's sturdy and works well both indoors and outdoors. It’s perfect for maintaining a neat setup for my electric vehicle charger.

Only took a couple of minutes to put up on the wall in the garage. Seems sturdy and works for our Leaf charger!

The materials feel pretty sturdy, metal for both the brick holder and the hook while the charger holder itself is made of thick plastic. It fits the OEM portable cord for my Chevy Bolt well enough, but there is some extra room depth-wise. Not really a problem at all. I found that you could make the hook come down a little further by screwing in only the bottom of the brick holder into the hook.
