I got this portable wall charger for my Model Y because we have three cars in the household, including the Tesla. Living in San Francisco, I don’t always have the chance to park the Tesla in the garage or driveway to use the dedicated home charger. This 21-foot charger from APLYSIA has been really handy when I need a quick charge without having to move the car. I can easily run the cable out to the curb where the Tesla is parked, with no issues.I got the Level 1 charger, though there’s also a Level 2 version available with higher amperage and wattage. For my needs, Level 1 is more than sufficient — I don’t drive a lot day to day, and when I do need a faster charge, I will use the home charger in the garage. The charger is simple to use: one end plugs into a standard wall outlet, and the other connects to the Tesla via the standard NEMA plug. As the seller mentioned, it includes a wireless control feature to open the charging port door, which is a nice added convenience.Overall, this is a great mobile charging solution for my Tesla. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now — not daily, but often enough to say it’s been completely reliable. It comes with a quality storage bag and fits nicely in the frunk when not in use. Just keep in mind that, as a Level 1 charger, charging speeds are slower. If you need faster charging, the Level 2 version is worth considering. Price-wise, it’s very competitive with similar chargers on the market.

I've tried a few aftermarket Tesla chargers now and most of them are much bigger and bulkier than the OEM Tesla charger, but this one is the first exception I have found. The power adapter portion is actually smaller and lighter than the OEM Tesla mobile charger. I have mine mounted to a wall, so the weight is somewhat inconsequential, but I still found that to be noteworthy. I especially like how this charger supports up to 16A. I have mine installed on a 10A circuit, so I'm not fully able to enjoy that benefit, but with 16A, it becomes reasonable to use this charger as your main charger and avoid having to do expensive upgrades to your electrical system to support faster EV charging, of course, that's assuming you have an existing outlet that can support 16A. 5/5

As a Tesla owner, I'm always on the lookout for reliable and convenient charging solutions. The Level 1/2 EV Tesla Charger from AplysiaTech has exceeded my expectations in every way. I was impressed by the charger's versatility, which allows me to charge my Tesla Model Y using either Level 1 or Level 2 charging. The included NEMA 6-20 plug and NEMA 5-15 adapter make it easy to charge my vehicle at home or on the go. The wireless charging door control feature is a thoughtful touch, allowing me to open the charging port door without needing a physical key or button. The charger's multiple protections, including anti-leakage, grounding, and overheating protections, give me peace of mind when charging my vehicle. The dynamic LED design and intuitive control panel make it easy to monitor the charging status, and the charger's sturdy construction and IP66 waterproof rating ensure that it can withstand the elements. The 21-foot cable provides ample length for charging at home or at public charging stations, and the portable storage bag makes it easy to take on the road. I've been using this charger for a few weeks now, and I'm impressed by its performance and reliability. The one-year warranty offered by AplysiaTech also gives me confidence in the product's quality. If you're a Tesla owner looking for a reliable and convenient charging solution, I highly recommend the Level 1/2 EV Tesla Charger from AplysiaTech. I got this level 1 Tesla charger primarily for travel to be able to charge at maximum speed if all I have available is a standard plug. I compared the charging speed of this charger to the standard 15A plug Telsa charger, and this one is about 20% faster. That said, after my one time use charging the car, once this touched the floor of my garage and the concrete of my driveway, the front got all scuffed up (see the photo). Compared to the nice rubberized coating on the standard Tesla charger, this one is very delicate and would likely look very beat up after a few weeks if it was my primary charging solution.I had ordered the 15A level 1 only version, but that is because it was the unit type that was available for review. I now see that for $5 more (at the time of writing this review) AplysiaTech offers a combo level 1 and level 2 charger. I would highly recommend that one over the level 1 only charger since you will get an additional charging option that is significantly faster for only a few dollars more.
