I have used these to help secure my daughters license plate from being stolen again. Apparently stealing plates is a thing. The install was easy and she has not had her plates tampered with since. While it is not fool proof, it is a good deterrent, IMO.

Local newspapers report a rash of license plate thefts in out community. This kit provides an excellent way to prevent theft . . . just don't forget where you put the special tool for removing the license plate mounting bolts.

They were easy to install and came with combo allen wrench and phillips head screwdriver tool, but were not anti-theft as depicted in picture. Did have the covers for the screws, however, and looked good when installed.

I had my plate stolen 1 week after purchasing my CBR1000. I found these and figured it's worth a shot as a deterrent as I had dealer thumb screws only. I needed to use end cutters and snip off an edge off of the black cap that fits over the bolt. I used Red Loctite on the bolt and nut, and then used super glue the set the cap on. Hope this helps. Easy install took 5-10 mins including loctite and super glue.

I ordered two kits with the anti-theft bolts. One kit was missing the wrench, the other kit had a defective bolt that didn't work with the wrench provided. The recessed holes on the bolt head were too close together. Emailed company. No response.

No pude usarlos en la placa delantera, deberian cobrar un poco mas x agregarle un cm mas a los tornillos de esta manera serian mas practicos y utiles.

I bought this product because I recently had my license plate stolen off of my car and replaced with a stolen vehicle’s plates. Turns out that’s a thing that criminals do nowadays, unfortunately. Anyway, I just got done installing these onto my car. I tightened it very securely and put the plastic caps on, which come off easily, however the inserts made the screws inaccessible from the sides, so unless somebody had the particular tool that comes with this kit to remove the screws, they won’t be able to remove them on their own. I even tried using pliers to loosen them off, but the inserts prevented that. Time will tell if this will truly work I suppose, as the thieves are still at large and I get the feeling they may try to come back to get another new plate soon.The order that the parts go on the plate is the nuts behind the plate, then the plate, then the washers, then the inserts, then the screws, then the caps. Don’t tighten the nuts onto the backside completely, leave some room so because when you tighten the screws to your car the nuts will tighten around the plate.
