This is an exact replacement for my Kenmore Elite. And once installed, makes a lot of ice. Installation is easy, but suggest you watch a YouTube install video.

Exact replacement, not aftermarket. Fit and worked perfectly. I originally wanted to buy this from an appliance parts company, specifically one that has great how-to videos on their site, however, I could not bring myself to pay $40 more.

perfect fit, it has all the wires, just save the tape on your old one, so that you can reuse it to tape the wires in the wireways as it was.I was tempted to purchase the 3 years warranty though, for I hear these do not last. The original lasted 7 years. I hope to get 7 out of this one.

Worked. The packaging could be better. Some minor plastic snapped off. However it worked and has been churning out ice for a week.

My old ice maker started leaking which caused the cubes to get stuck together where it was leaking. I was having to break up the ice dam weekly so ice would be made. I watched an online video for replacing the ice maker; much easier than I expected. Three screws and a wire harness and the old one was out. I removed it from the insert and the new one was a direct replacement. I installed it in the refrigerator, reset the ice maker and it was making ice that evening with no leak. The new ice maker seems to be making ice faster than the old one but I was having to throw away a lot of welded cubes.

Very disappointed with this LG icemaker. I just replaced my original with a new one 10 months ago and it is failing already. It's ridiculous for an appliance to not even last a year!

There's a few things in life that are extraordinary and we should always be grateful. Amazon and YT, (the video company). Save yourself over $500 if you watch a tutorial video and bring in this Ice Maker. Be sure to remove your ice machine and verify the part number, prior to ordering on Amazon. We have a 2016 Kenmore Elite (manufactured by LG) and the ice maker gradually died. I've read that ice makers' have a shelf life of 5 years. Ours lasted 4. There's a video out there that informs that it's really a bad motor sensor, a $20 part, however when I opened up the housing, springs and gears came apart, and I had dozens of pieces dissembled. Bad idea, so I purchased this replacement new. It's an "R & R", remove and replace. Note: This Ice Maker has some slight improvements and was 98% identical...but it's a perfect fit.If you watch the tutorial video, carefully remove the old, including the white duct tape....this is important. If your not a handy man or gal....don't attempt to R & R this yourself. It's easy, but you'll need some out of the box experience and common sense, because there are no instructions in the box. Again, if you're' not good around the house, or mechanical....have your buddy, brother-in-law, or whoever is handy, Remove and Replace. Don't attempt to take this project on without watching the YT Video! The overall R & R time is under 10 minutes....if you know what you're doing. So grateful to Amazon and YT. This will save you over $500 if you called an Appliance Repair tech....for labor, excessive markup of machine, and tax. After installed, I read the owner's manual for our refrigerator and set the Ice to ULTRA ICE. Instead of taking 72 hours to fill the ice container, it will fill it up under 12 hours. Where all the controls are (LED button) inside, above the door, Push and Hold the ICE ON/OFF Button 3 seconds. It quickly turns off, then back on with ULTRA ICE lit up (LED). Carefully refer to your owner's manual, if needed.Worth every penny...and now our Ice Machine and Refrigerator is up and running - new again. What a great accomplishement you'll have when your minor project, your minor appliance setback is restored and repaired!
