I replaced the drain pump which had stopped working on my 5 year-old LG front loader washing machine (WM3997HWA). That too came from Amazon and was perfect. Just to be safe, I thought I'd replace the circulator pump (this item being reviewed) as the washer was to taken apart for the drain pump anyway. The original (OEM) circulator pump has a plastic 'splash' cover. When I tried to place it on the new pump, it would NOT fit. I measured the plastic 'hump' over the central terminal and it was out of spec: 0.83 x 0.41 " high and wide where the OEM measured 0.67" x 0.22".Next I noticed there looked like an over-temp fuse on the OEM circ pump but not on this replacement pump. Lastly I check the coil resistances: OEM ~30 ohms vs. ~43 ohms for the replacement. These 3 product variances crossed my comfort line. Nope... not gonna be installed. I'm sure it would have worked but given the coil would not pull the same power as the OEM, it may not have been at the correct water pressure. (I've included pictures. Note the OEM is on the left)I reused the original OEM pump and it all worked fine.

Buy with confidence, good motor works as new and nice a quiet. I do appliance repair and this works well... slightly more powerful at 45 watts had a really good discharge!!!
