We have 4 kids, so our washer and dryer take quite a beating. When the washer decided it didn't want to drain recently, I opened it up and disconnected the tub to pump hose and was unable to find a blockage. As a result, I bought this pump from Amazon and replaced the old one. Buttons the washer back up and she's good as new! Any novice can do it. Im hoping to get another few years out of this pump and not have to invest in a new washer!

I was getting the "EO" error on my LG washing machine. It was refusing to drain. We pulled the back panel off to check the drain line and look for clogs anywhere. What we did find was ahem, mice. Signs of mice, recent signs of mice. As in, the reason the drain pump failed is mice were chewing on the wire assembly and wires going to the pump, severed it in two places. Even after my talented amazing superhero husband spliced the wires back together (it's a cluster of 3), and reattached, same thing.We already had this replacement pump on hand because we had honestly assumed it had failed, not chewed to high heaven by an overzealous field mouse who hunkered down for the winter in my home. My husband and son only needed to undo the clamp things (sorry I'm not a smart woman) on the hoses going in and coming out, the pump had a plastic tab he needed to move out of the way in the back, and it came loose with a little bit of cursing. With the replacement seated and the hoses reattached, we tried a test cycle again and voila, happy ending. We cleaned the washing machine at the bottom where the signs of mice were, and hopefully I can catch the little dudes without resorting to poison or traps. We get one a year usually, around this time, I just didn't think he was going to take out his aggression on my drain pump, ha ha.Excellent replacement part, matched the housing and form factor of the OEM part. It installed with relative ease (it's a bit tight in there if you have sausage fingers), and functions flawlessly in my LG washing machine.

So far so good 2 weeks of washing everyday and works great. The part on manufactures website is over 100$ so this is a great deal.
