It worked. However it is not the same as the original for a LG washer Model WM0642. The original is all black on one side (the top one in the pics) with a spring that pushes the door out. This replacement one was black and blue without the spring thingy. The item was sent in a small ziplock packed in a padded envelope not in a box. Also, the original part can be fixed if you can spare the time. Check out the youtube videos.

This was the perfect replacement to the living mechanism in my LG washing machine. I was about to replace the part in less than 15 minutes using the spring compression tool to make it easier. Washing machine is as good as new now.

Identical or almost identical to the original part from my washer. Works great. It was not too hard to install. The only difficult part is to get the spring back in place.

I watched a video on how to replace this part and was worried we would struggle with the removal and replacement of the lining UNTIL I came across another video where he just removed the top cover of the machine never needing to mess with that and it was smooth sailing from there. Whew!
