I have used on my bath rug that put by the sink and one on the living room floor to stick the area rug. the one i put in the bathroom is still holding well and i even lifted up my rug for cleaning and stick it back and yet it works fine but the one on living room it keeps coming off and my rug keeps getting folded from the surfaces at the corner so this is not meant for the big rugs

I got this to stick my rugs onto my rug pads. I see that most users of these carpet tapes stick the rugs to the floor, but I wanted something to keep my rugs and rug pads together. I have quite a few rugs in the house, and they were always slipping off the rug pads, especially when the dog goes running across them (he can be quite excitable when someone gets home). A couple strips of this tape around the perimeter of the pads and the rugs stay put. I'm going on a month now with this tape and it's holding up. When I ordered the product, I was expecting a fabric type tape, but this is a strong plastic two-sided tape. It can be a little challenging to work with if you're not careful. It will stick to itself strongly.

We have a large area rug over the carpet in our living room. The rug likes to curl up at the edges so we used this tape and it works very well! I did have to reposition a bit of it and there really wasn't any glue left behind on the old carpet - but it wasn't on for more than a few seconds so who knows. We're not real worried about the carpet since we are getting new asap but really most of all, the rug stays flat on the carpet now! the vacuum cleaner doesn't even make it move so it's holding good. It was easy to use - the peel away backing was a little hard to get going but I always have trouble with that it seems. It didn't fold back on itself and then stick to itself even with a long strip. I used a SHARP scissors (glue tends to stick to dull scissors) . It does tear fairly easy too but I like using a sharp blade.

I ordered this a "let see if it works" attitude. I've created a workout room and have been struggling with keeping yoga mats in place on the carpet. I hate having the carpet in that room but it's a large expense to change out the flooring.As soon as the tape arrived, my husband and I placed pieces on the back side of the mats. We placed strips of this tape in each corner and then along the edges in a few additional places.So far, the tape has held the mats in place. It's been such a relief to not have mats moving or sliding while you're trying not to exercise.I'm happy with this tape and am going to place it on other throw rugs around my house.

I was a little disappointed in this product.We have rugs with a heavy rubber backing that cover our tile floors. I expected a little stronger tape product to hold down rugs but this kept peeling off the rubber backing of the rugs. I ended up putting what I thought to be an excessive amount of tape onto the tile and then tossing the rug onto that.On balance, I did get a few test rugs down and they are holding in place after a week so I can give it a good rating. I just wish the tape was stickier.

I removed 60-year-old wall-to-wall carpets from three bedrooms and plan to have new plywood and hardwood installed in the near future. I had the rooms rewired and painted and the only thing left is to install the flooring. But while I save for the flooring I needed to install something on the floors that were inexpensive and decided to go with those cheap puzzle carpet sections I bought at a big box store and needed some way to hold them in place. This carpet tape is very sticky on both sides and easy to use. I have cut it into various sizes so I could get each square secured to the floor as the rooms will be occupied until the new floors are installed. This tape solved my problem and I have used most of it to secure the rubber-like puzzle squares to the plywood currently on the floors. The plywood is old and even though I vacuumed it thoroughly there are still some dirty spots but the tape is holding great. I am not worried about whether it leaves a sticky residue because the new plywood will be installed over the current plywood. But so far I had to pull up a tape section or two and there was no residue on the floor then I also had to replace one length of tape because it would not restick and in my case that is not surprising because the floors have a lot of sand and dirt embedded even though I cleaned them. The house is near the beach and sand is just a way of life.

I got this tape to do just what it's made for: To prevent area rugs from sliding around when you step on them which can be hazardous. This tape does what it says; stick it down between the rug and hard surface floor and it keeps it in place. However, they describe it as not leaving any residue behind when you remove it. I trust that is true, except that even just after trying to peel up the tape to move it left a little behind. So I'm hopeful that after a long while if I ever want to remove this it isn't a complete mess. Other than that, it's a great deal for the multi pack that this comes as.
