We got this for our giant breed puppy to be primarily used as a lick mat. The mat comes with a spatula for spreading stuff on the mat and a brush to help with cleaning, which is really nice. The suction on the mat worked very well and that is really important for these mats. There are a couple things about this mat that brings the score down. The first is the bowl, which I just do not think it belongs on a lick mat and mostly got in the way. The other thing is that some of the patterns on the mat are just too small for whatever you put in there to be gotten out. We used sugar free applesauce for our tests and always had to clean out those areas afterwards.

This product is a really good concept, but it is not made for medium to large dogs. The bowl is very small and the food areas are small as well.
