The socket in my 2016 Kia Sorento went bad. I was about to tear up my center console in order to replace it when I saw a YouTube video suggesting this tool be used. Bought the tool. Got it quickly, finagled it into the socket and was able to hook the spot I needed and pop, out came the socket. Took no more than a minute. Popped the new one in and now it works. I bought an OEM socket so didn't need the one provided. But for the money, this tool saved me a lot of time and effort. Highly recommend it if you need to do this job.

this tool is useless, it bends real easy. also underside is sharp edges .the T is to wide for sockets.

I have a Honda Fit, obviously the AC socket has to be different from the rest. Unfortunately I was unable to use this tool. It looks that it should do the job, though.

The 12v that came with the tool said it worked in my vehicle. It does not. The tool worked.

In order for this tool to work you have to know where your inserting it inside the 12 volt outlet. Put it in at an angle so you can reach deep and then press into the tabs and it will pull your 12 volt outlet from its housing.
