Your cart is empty. Wax Leaf Privet is a upright deciduous, occasionally semi-evergreen, shrub blooms creamy-white, fragrant flowers followed by round blue-black fruit. Its dark green and bright green glossy foliage has larger leaves compared to the Sinense. This fast grower will reach 8-10 feet high. These have dense and bushy characteristics make it ideal for a privacy screen, wind screen, hedging, and small tree, while adding great color to your garden.
This low-maintenance evergreen needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system. After the mature root system of the ligustrum is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly. Responds well to pruning. Shearing is recommended 2-3 per year to maintain desired shape. Mulching is recommended to detour weeds, retain moisture, and keep temperatures low.
The wax leaf privet has a compact growth habit with glossy foliage responds well to pruning into topiary or small standard trees. Displays a profusion of white blooms. Useful hedge, screen or windbreak. Ligustrum performs well in containers and as a topiary specimen. Evergreen.
Because of the waxleaf privets versatility and undemanding nature, they are used extensively in home landscapes. Plant them as hedges, foundation plants, patio trees or in shrub borders.
Wax Leaf privet ligustrum shrubs are grown primarily for the dense foliage they can provide when pruned into hedges. That dense foliage of the ligustrum, along with their height, means that they afford good privacy during the summertime when folks are most active in their backyards.

These are wonderful I put them in 4 inch pots for a month before I was comfortable putting them outside. In three months most plants have over 6 inches of growth!!! All 40 would have survived if my dog didn't decide to dig up 4 of them!

Bought 40 of these and everyone died but 1, horrible communication unless you comment something positive,I had it set to have new ones shipped out until they canceled the order, I at least received my money back. Look else where as I spoke with a local nursery and showed them the plants and they stated these are being grown incorrectly. I'm currently growing new ones from a local grower and they're doing great

I ordered 30 plants and they arrived packaged extremely well and not damaged! Very green with a great root system. I repotted them immediately and they have already grown in less than a week. This is the second purchase I’ve made from this company and have been very satisfied with both!

We planted these in early September which should have been perfect. Now, about 9 months later, maybe 12 out of 80 plants are still alive. We are experienced gardeners and took good care of these plants. What a disapoointment.

I started off with 10 to see how they would do here (I'm in zone 7) and in just a week they are thriving. I swear they have doubled in height and all I've done so far is repot them in individual 4 inch pots with tree and shrub formulated soil. I also have them outside in the area where they will be planted to see how they react to the amount of sun, and there was a lot of wind, rain and cooler temperatures - but they still look great. I plan to buy more as the goal is to grow a border to separate my front lawn from the sidewalk (and I'm on a corner as well).UPDATE: Ordered and received 10 more and they all look so vibrant and tall. Planted the new ones last week and they are thriving.

Maybe I should have started these in a pot…slow growing…not dead though, which is good!!!
