This thermometer is a nice improvement over my previous plain old one, with a fun light show. However, the reverse LCD display makes it difficult to read in bright light. It’s easy to see at night with backlighting or in shade, but it’s hard to read during the day under the sun.I’ve read other reviews complaining about charging and light issues. I initially thought I had this problem too, but I think it just needed a few days in the sun to work properly. So, I guess the magnetic charger wasn’t working well because it had charged to green before I put it in the pool.Five stars has to make me go "Wow!"Four stars "Nice!"Three stars. "This will do the job."Two stars. "Meh, it should be better."One Stars "What the heck!"

Do not waste your money. It only worked for a couple days. The window to read the temp got so fogged up you couldn't even read the temp. On top of that, the temp would randomly switch from F to C.

It was in the pool overnight and filled up with water and doesn’t work anymore. It is a bummer because last night I got pics and videos of the lights.

This little thermometer works great! The display is bright enough during the day to read with ease as well as at night in the dark. It has a beautiful light display that casts a beautiful display of either pink, blue or green on the bottom of the pool. The temperature seems to be accurate according to our older standard gauge. Very simple to set up in the pool and definitely worth the money!

Awful. Been in the pool for a couple weeks now. Not able to get the lights on at all and the temp reading is inconsistent. Also water is getting in the item itself. Would give zero stars if I could.

The thermometer accuracy is adequate for the purpose, and the light adds a nice touch at night. Having a solar panel eliminates the hassle of replacing batteries. If you want to add a thermometer to your pool, this is a good option.

Did not work out of the box. Charging light came on that it was charging, went from red to green. Lights never worked and temperature display never showed numbers even in full sunlight. DOA. Returned.
