These work great when the installation goes smoothly. I like to install one of these on each of my nipple waterer buckets so I can visually see when the water level gets low. However the gaskets that came with these weren't robust enough to prevent leakage. It was a simple fix but did involve purchasing rubber gaskets from the local hardware store. So while well made I removed a star for having to buy something to make them work properly, even if it was a cheap fix.

They work great. Easy to install, I added a little pvc glue to the threads. Best price around. The chickens learned to use it within minutes. Had no leaks with the gasket in place.

haven't placed these yet but feel the chix and guineas will be much more likely to use these than the smaller, with "corn" valve I currently have.
