WHAT YOU SEE, IS WHAT YOU GET. THIS DECANTER IS RELATIVELY HEAVY, ESPECIALLY WHEN FULL. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BIG HANDS, YOU WILL NEED BOTH HANDS TO POUR. I'VE ALSO POURED A DRINK USING TWO FINGERS (INDEX & THUMB) NEAR THE TOP OF THE NECK & JUST BELOW THE LIP. IT WORKS FINE THIS WAY, YOU JUST HAVE LESS SPACE BETWEEN THE DECANTER & YOUR GLASS WHEN POURING FOR ACCURACY. MEANING YOUR CHANCE OF SPILLING A LITTLE IS HIGHER.ALL THAT BEING SAID, THIS DECANTER IS VERY HANDSOME AND APPEARS WELL MADE. THE STOPPER IS MY FAVORITE. IT'S ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! AND THE FIT IS NEARLY PERFECT. SO FOR TEST PURPOSES, I TILTED THE DECANTER SIDEWAYS (HORIZONTAL) AND NOT A SINGLE DROP CAME OUT. THE VENDOR SAYS LEAK-PROOF STOPPER AND THEY WOULD BE CORRECT.WHEN ON SALE, YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT GO WRONG HERE. MY FAVORITE BOURBON HAS NEVER LOOKED THIS GOOD. LIKE THE OLD SAYING GOES, "IF IT LOOKS BETTER, IT TASTES BETTER". SO TRUE...ENJOY!

I own a number of decanters, and this has quickly become one of my favorites. From the exceptional treatment of the glass, to the perfect lines, and no-leak stopper (which uses nothing but glass, I'd add), this thing is simply one of the most classic eye-catchers you're going to find in the realm of decanters. And it's a bargain as well. The unboxing experience could use some finesse and flair. Otherwise this is perfect, and I recommend it to everyone who's made it far enough into caring as to have stumbled across this review.

This looks great, and is a really good purchase at $15.99 (price at time of review) - it's a classic design and glass style. Happy to be a whiskey drinker so I can see the lovely amber liquid in there, it just wouldn't be the same with a clear liquid! Heavy-weight glass decanter, with a solid stopper - I haven't tested the "leak-proof" claim yet, but am hopeful that won't ever be necessary.

I genuinely enjoy the ribbed glassware of this decanter. It's got a very vintage, art deco feel to it. The stopper also fits very well, not perfectly air tight, but very well. You'll experience some oxidization in your spirits over time. The glass is well blown and clear with no occlusions or air bubbles that I could see.
