My cat's getting older, and less graceful, and has a medium-to-tall litter box (due to litter spreading), so I figured this would be a perfect fit for him. To give it the best chance of working - and avoiding any negative associations with the litter box if it *didn't* work - I set this up directly next to my bed, so that could have an easier time getting on, while getting used to using it.Unfortunately, not only is he not using it, he's actively avoiding it. Which, depending on *how* he avoids it - sometimes he'll go around, sometimes he'll jump from further back - is actually making it *more* difficult for him to get onto my bad. After about a week of this, I thought I would try gentle persuasion methods by putting some treats and catnip on it, as well as gently placing his front feet on it. That was the plan, anyways. Normally he's pretty chill about being picked up, but the second he got near this he started panicked scrabbling with his claws out, and my arms paid the price.The four star rating, despite my cat's unwillingness to use this himself, is based in part on the build quality which seems nice and solid as well as making it easy to clean out the litter-catching compartment. It's also based partly on a quick skim of other reviews. Cats can be weird sometimes, and not all cats are the same. Just because *my* cat is actively avoiding (and seemingly scared/distrustful) of it, doesn't mean it doesn't work, and skimming those reviews tells me that my cat's reaction to this is not the *normal* reaction to it.

The Litter Box Step is well-made and looks good. I really like the size and wooden legs. I have 3 cats who are still pretty young, and they really don't need the step to access their slightly elevated litter box area. But I was hoping that it would catch and reduce litter tracking on the floor.I have only had the step about a week, and to be honest I am not quite sure if my cats are actually using the step at all. So far, I am not seeing evidence of any litter collecting in the step. But I am optimistic. That is reason for o ly 4 stars.But I do think this could be great solution for taller litter box situations or even as a step to help a senior pet access up.

Way smaller than I anticipated (which is my fault for not considering the measurements). My two cats just stepped right around it. Ended up giving it away and purchasing a different brand.

The Aothey Litter Box Step is a fantastic addition in front of our automatic litter box, making it easy for my cats to enter and exit. Previously, I used a block of wood to help my senior cat, who was having trouble getting in and out, but this step has resolved that issue and looks much better than the block of wood!The step comes fully assembled and features a mesh-style litter catcher tray on top. This design effectively captures excess litter that typically gets scattered around the base of the litter box. The tray is removable, which makes cleanup easy. Although the height of the step is not adjustable, it turned out to be the perfect height for my senior cat. Additionally, the four legs have non-slip pads to prevent the step from sliding around. Overall, I’m thrilled with this litter box step. It assists my senior cat with using the litter box, and the litter catcher tray makes cleaning much simpler. With three automatic litter boxes in our home, it looks like we will be ordering more!

One of my cats has wobbly cat syndrome and I was hoping this would help her get into her litterbox easier, sadly it didn't work out, however that's no fault of this little stool.My non-disabled cat has no problem using it and it works just fine at getting rid of those bits of litter under his paws after he's done with the bathroom, but for my other cat they're just too unstable and end up flipping this over when they tumble.I will continue to use this with one of my cats as it works great for them, and I would be willing to recommend it if you're looking to make your litterbox a bit easier to reach, though I am a bit sad that my original idea didn't work out

I've been sweeping cat litter up everyday for years. This is magical! Very little now gets in the floor and it's a perfect step up for the litter robot they use.

I recently upgraded to a self-cleaning litter box (Autoscooper! Cheap and efficient, look it up!). It’s been a game changer, but there’s been a few adaptations needed to make it work in our house. First off, our cat has to leap up into the box rather than step into it. It gives her pause and she sometimes chooses to go outside in the garden instead. It also came with a litter mat intended for her to land on as she exits and catch the litter, but it easily slides around, the dog pees on it, and she literally jumps anywhere BUT the mat.This litter step is just the perfect size in so many ways. It’s just right for her to easily access her litter box, it’s at the right proportions for stability, and it doesn’t take up a huge amount of floorspace. The materials are good; decent thickness plastic, and solid wood feet with non-skid bottoms. The design is clean and efficient, and arrives fully assembled and ready to go. Looks and performs in excellence.

The Litter Box Step is pretty great. My little boy has unusually short legs, which can make litter boxing a challenge. I keep buying and returning boxes that are too deep for him to climb in and out of comfortably. He has a box now with a low opening, but it's on the small side for hime since he's grown.Technically, he doesn't need the step with this litter box, but as I'm still shopping for the right one, I gave this a try. He's using it happily with his current box and I think it will work well when we switch to a taller box and he really needs it.The Litter Box Step is well-made. I really like the wooden legs. If a litter box step can look classy, this one does. It helps with catching litter and is easy to empty. The height and width are good for him. Now we just need to find the right flip top litter box!The price point may be a bit high, which is why I rated it 4 stars, but I'm very happy with the Litter Box Step overall.

I have a 19-year-old cat who is slowing down a bit, and finding things to aid her in her golden years has been a top mission of mine. Now I have to use a high wall litter pan for her because she is a litter spreader, so when I had the chance to check out the Aothey Cat Ramp I took it because I have tried different things to ease her in and out of the litter pan.Now, the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that I wish it were a bit bigger to accommodate different pets' sizes, because some animals will just try to avoid it altogether. However, for my 19-year-old, it only took a few smells and paws to understand it was a step, so be patient for your fur potato!The lid of the tray is super strong and has some weight to it so that is nice to see and the tray it self is sturdy with the feet that can also be removed if you want to lower it a bit more though I wish the bottom feet screwed off flush with the bottom of the tray so you can have it lay on the floor for even more support.All in all, this will be a huge help with my elderly cat and her litter box instead of using a shoe box or something more flimsy!Thanks Aothey for letting me check this out!

I recently upgraded my cat’s litter box, but unfortunately, the new one didn’t come with a step like his old setup. Even though my kitty isn’t small or elderly, he always used his old step — and honestly, I felt bad taking it away from him.I was so excited when I found the Aothey Cat Ramp! It arrived the same day I ordered it, which was such a bonus. It fits perfectly in front of the litter box, and I love that it even matches the look of his setup — super cute and functional.What really surprised me is how well it catches litter from his paws, helping keep the floor much cleaner. Along with the mat, it feels like double protection against the usual litter mess. Plus, the wooden legs give it a nice, stylish touch that doesn’t make it look out of place in the house.Overall, I’m super happy with this little ramp — and I'm pretty certain my cat is too!

I added the shield attachment to the front of my Litter Robot and it stuck out far enough that the cats would jump over the step and some of the litter would land on the floor. Adding this step in front gives them an easier exit and makes it so my 16-year-old senior kitty doesn't have to step up as far to get into the box. It's deep and catches a lot of litter, and the top comes off so I can pour the litter back in the hopper.It comes fully assembled and has rubber grip pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide around. I use a silicone litter mat, but even on bare floor it stayed in place fine.A+

My cat is a senior so I try to make everything as easy as possible for her. She is also a champion litter tosser! Lol! She kicks out a lot of litter and then tracks it around the house. This step is the perfect solution. It is a stable step for her to get in and out of the litter box but also traps the litter that she tosses out. The litter falls into the compartment where it collects and is easy to throw away or return to the box. The compartment holds a lot so there is no longer litter on the floor or carried on her paws into other rooms. It is a simple solution to a long running problem.
