These wear quickly. Within my first year of having them they no longer had any padding and it felt almost as if I was leaning on my handlebars with no tape at all. Less than 2 years in, the top layer tore on both sides of my handlebars. I have cork on my old bike that lasted 7 years and I only replaced it because it faded, not because they ripped and it still felt pretty good to ride on them. They look nice and feel really good the first few rides, but that's the extent of it. I'm giving lizards skins a thumbs down.

I have purchased two packages of this wrap. I like the color and texture, but the plugs have fallen out twice. I think the tape is very thick and the plugs don't hold it in tight enough.

I have a Klein Quantum road bike (love it, bought it new 17 years ago) that is painted a gorgeous iridescent purple. I came across this purple Lizard Skins handle bar tape and installed it yesterday. Almost a perfect match. Love it.I did NOT use the matching plugs because they don't have a tight enough fit in my handle bars, so instead used a nice adjustable stainless steel plug that works and looks great.This tape is great and it looks pretty fine on my ride, at least I think it does.

I purchased this at my local bike shop to help add some pizazz to my bike. While the tape looks great against the flat carbon finish of my bike, the tape unfortunately does not stand up to use. Within just a few weeks, the outer surface began wearing off where my hands grip when in the drops.

A really good quality bar tape. Has a slightly tacky feel which helps with grip. Very easy to fit and in my opinion a great colour.

The poor ratings on this product are ridiculous. Great soft feel and a nice tacky grip. Found the product pretty straightforward to apply and wrap. I feel it's worth the extra money if the product lasts. Had my first 30 mile ride today with Lizard Skins tape and I'm happy.

Really like the Lizard Skin bar tape. I have the 2.5mm and the 3.2mm on my bikes. The only thing I didn't like is the bar plugs keep coming out. I don't know if it is a user error or a design issue. I ended up buying bar ends that tighten up with a screw to resolve this issue. When I replace the tape, Lazard Skin bar tape will go back on.
