Since the description wasn't super clear about a few things, here's what I wondered until I had it in my hands: it's 20x optical zoom and 3x digital, so effectively 60x maximum. It does have a MicroSD slot, so you can use it pretty well as a self-contained unit, taking snapshots and video. The boom attachment is a 1/4-20 thread, so you can also use it on a regular camera tripod.I haven't run the battery down yet, so I can't speak to the effective runtime on battery, but since it's USB-C for charging or computer interface, you can easily charge it off a power bank in the field. One quirk: it wouldn't recognize a 128G MicroSD after formatting, until I popped the card out and back in. Minor annoyance, since it only seems to happen immediately after formatting a card.Display quality on the built in screen is quite good. On a computer screen, fine focus will determine how much detail you can get.Overall, a pretty good value if you deal with small objects on any sort of regular basis.

This is a fun and useful microscope. I use it mainly for soldering small components on electronic PCBs and other detail oriented electronic work. This came in really handy when I needed to remove and replace a broken HDMI port on a PS5. This was really easy to setup. I used the included boom arm to mount the microscope and it came in handy to be able to move the scope wherever I needed it. The view on the 5 inch screen is quite good. The screen is bright, but a little washed out due to the LED lights and screen technology. It charges over USB using the included cable which is just fine. It feels well made of plastic and aluminum. Good adjustments, especially useful is the digital zoom. Good product, would recommend.

"Microscope" is... not accurate. At all. It's just a webcam with a macro lens, you're not gonna get to see cells or single fibers or anything tiny like that. As an Inspection camera, maybe it's semi-useful, but the problem is that the recording quality isn't brilliant, the resolution is poor, and the zoom is borderline nonexistent, with digital zoom that further reduces quality. The body is cheap plastic, the screen is.... okay, and the overall usability is actually alright. The depth of field is paper thin, so don't sneeze or it will lose focus. Connectivity is alright, though, which is a plus.I want to like this more, I really do, but the lack of better lenses is really quite disappointing, and the low resolution(2mp) image saving is also pretty rough. Also for the price, I expect generally that a Micro-SD card would be included, but it is not.

Super easy to use. Just plug in the USB-C cable and charge the battery or use it plugged in. Put the scope on top of an object, adjust the focus and be blown away by what you see.Picture quality is good for the price. This reminds me of my microscope days.Functionally, it works right out of the box to view. You're going to want to get a microSD card to save pictures and videos.I haven't plugged in to PC yet, but I see no real need. It has a built-in battery so you can use it unplugged to see whatever you want to see up close, on a big enough screen.

Don't get this one, get the LM115 that comes with the metal base as it is cheaper. Then you can but a better boom arm that has a standard 1/4" threaded connector to use which I am sure you can find one that is better than the one they show, I have owned one like that and they aren't good boom arms. So yeah, the LM115A is the LM115 just more expensive with a cheap boom arm and you don't get the metal base.

This is such a fascinating microscope. It was easy to assemble the arm and attach it to my desk. Very lightweight. Fascinating to see beyond what my eye can see. Case in point, I burned my finger a few days ago. Realized after looking at the burn under the microscope I probably should be putting antibiotic ointment on it! It's been fun to look at leaves and brushes and even pumpkin seeds and craisins under this. It was easy to hook up to my laptop though I haven't figured out how to see the image on my laptop's screen but that's more because I am technically challenged. It does come with some instructions. Took a little bit to figure it out, but once I did, I am having a blast with this! If you have a child who loves science this will be a BIG hit!

This is a fun and easy-to-use tool to view surfaces close-up. Although technically, at 60x, this is more accurately a macroscope, not a true microscope. The set includes a boom arm to help steady the scope, a clamp to attach the boom to a table or counter, and a USB charge cord. The scope is equipped with a 5" display that provides a clear image once you dial in the focus. The camera can be set up on the boom arm for stability, handheld, or stood up over a surface with the attached adjustable, clear spacer.Setup is as simple as pressing a button to turn on the unit, setting the focus distance, and turning the focus dial. It's satisfyingly easy and results are quick. Images can be easily recorded to a micro SD card (not included) or to a computer. A nice tool for hobbyists or students, and simple enough for young people or older non-techie folks to use.
