This bulb works. I don't have a meter to test with, but original Sony bulbs were really bright. It takes exactly the same amount of watts from the wall meter on the whole projector, but the picture isn't as bright. If you have a blown bulb, get this. If your OEM bulb is just dimmer than it was new, you may not notice anything.

Sadly, after installing.. Went to red flashing on the warning led.Re-installed the original and will contact the seller. Stay tuned....UPDATE: Was able to get a replacement really fast and put it in and tested out great - and was tested against the original bulb that came with the projector. Brightness was superior to the bulb at that point, which would have been diminished a bit, but not dim like others have cited.Great customer service by Amazon supporting the the products they sell! Kudos!

When the projector bulb for our big screen TV went out after only 7 months, I contacted the Pho company. They answered promptly, were easy to communicate with by email chat, and generously sent us a new bulb without cost.I believe their bulbs are very good quality since our installer said this is not terribly unusual. It does happen occasionally no matter what brand.
