Installed by myself, long wire allowed me to rest the lantern on the ladder while I connected the wires. I do wish the screws that attached the cover to the mounting plate were more robust, but they are typical from my experience with similar products in recent years.

This light is big a beautiful. Ordered it to replace an old outdated porch light and I love the way it looks. Installation was fairly straight forward; however, I did have to reinforce my junction box to be able to hold the weight of this thing. The wires are black coming out of this unit, but labeled as live and neutral respectively. The instructions leave a bit to be desired, but if you have replaced or installed any other light fixtures, this one should be no problem. It does not come with bulbs, but has an E26 base for them. Overall I am pleased with this and would recommend
