Tight fit needed some persuasion but that’s what you want. Used a small socket on an extension with a rubber mallet and it went in nice and tight fit

I know this was not made for the gen1 sbc but I've been trying to find some way to seal the driver's side dipstick hole, with no success. I bought this hoping that it was close enough. Well I found that if I put 2 O rings on it that matched the ones that came with it then the plug had a nice tight fit - walla - I now had the dipstick hole plugged!

This did not fit my ls3 block dipstick hole. The hole is .375 inches, this plug mic’d at .385 inches.
