How to use:
1.Our DIY Peltier Cooler Kit Completely assembled. TEC1-12706 semiconductor chilling plate equipped with cool fan for better heat dissipation,so they should "run together". You don't need disassemble the device to sort the wires and don't need separate switch for each fan.
2.There are 6 wires,you can see 3 red wires(two fans+TEC1-12706 chilling plate)，you can twist and connect them together,connect the12v battery positive electrode;3 black wires twist together connect the12v battery negative electrode.
Attention:
1.The cooling space of the DIY Thermoelectric Cooler should not exceed 10L (300*180*200mm) volume.
2.The Peltier Cooler can only cooling the cabinet of 10L volume when the refrigerator is empty (the refrigerator does not put anything), and the cooling effect is about 5-6 degrees lower than normal temperature.
3.Under the condition of 12V voltage, the power can only reach about 70%.

I manage a school IT department and we had a question about how mini-fridges work, and the subject came up about Peltier coolers and how they were used in overclocking PC equipment before water-cooling became a fad.This was a great demonstration kit for the kids (and for my guys in the IT department who are too young to have heard of a Peltier!). Just connect the wires together, join them to 12V and it starts heating one side and cooling another almost immediately.It kind of spoiled the point that I was making about them being solid state with no moving parts, but obviously the fans make it so much more efficient and help keep condensation etc. at bay.I've demoed them in a number of applications and may use them with our RTL-SDR (which is in a waterproof containment) so that we can keep that cool and improve the signal somewhat (without the fans active), but it proved a cheap and useful little Peltier set to show everyone.

Quoted 72WSpec of chip is 60W based on claimed chip used.With a $3k research grade power supply the max power in was in the low 30W range (including both fans).In a VERY small (~3ci), well insulated container 5'C was obtained at 12.00V. Increasing the voltage to 14V has no change in current and the temperature increased to 6.4'C

The TEC1-12706 module is very poor. It really doesn't get that cold. I replaced it with a TEC1-12703 and it gets much colder. I wouldn't buy this package again. Better off getting one with the 12703 module already in place (or make up your own).

will it cool down very much space? No, but for 20 bucks this is a neat little toy. It does get very cold, but to make a mini fridge from these would take a several unless you have amazing insulation.

It performs as expected with the typically terrible performance of a peltier junction. A unit like this is good for maybe one or two cans of cool pop. I learned from this that any sort of active cooling is best done with coolers that use compressors rather than these devices!

I mean I haven’t tested it yet but just the double screw instead of long screws really cracked me up.
