I purchased this item for a 42” cub cadet. Everything went together quickly and easily.when the mower blades were engaged the belt came apart within a few minutes. I had to cut it awaysrom the spindles as it had wrapped threads of belt around them. I hope the spindles and pulleys are of better quality. I went to the cub cadet dealer, purchased a new belt and finished mowing. What should have been a 45 minute repair became a 2 1/2 hour ordeal. Save the frustration. Get a genuine belt from a cub cadet dealer

Very easy swap over. Everything fit great on my cub cadet XT1 with LT42 deck. I also like that these blade shafts have grease zerts hopefully they will last longer than the originals since I will be able to grease them.

I have a bunch of tree roots that are starting to rise on my property. Didn't see one due to higher grass. Destroyed blade and spindle. Got these as replacements about a year ago. Easy to swap out on mower deck. Got new blades too.So far, after a year, still doing great. I'm now smarter and raising mower deck in that area of property, so hopefully they'll be great value for years to come.

The kit fit my cub cadet accurately. Everything was easy to put together. Recommend taking a picture before you take it apart.

The mower was originally S-drive. When I bought the Cub Cadet mulcher kit, the new blades were star drive. Amazingly, it was cheaper to switch to star drive than buy S-drive mulching blades. I ended up using the original mounting bolts because of length - they are tri-lobed to lock, and don't require nuts. The pulleys were very slightly different in height, but there doesn't seem to be any problem with drive belt wear. Blade fit on the spindles was very good. Mowing high grass, pine cones, small branches, and they're holding up so far.
