Work well, although they will mess up you rod butt's when you remove them. Squirt a little water in them before removing and installing.

Have used the Cush-It Floating Rod on my more expensive rods. I lost a combination rod and reel valued at $1,000 by kicking it overboard. If i had a Cush-It device on that rod, I would not have lost it. Better safe than sorry. It really serves a great purpose.

The Cush-It is a favorite product that I have installed on virtually every rod I use. While it does have some ability to cushion the butt of the rod and protect my ribs while fighting the fish, my primary purpose for using these is that they float the rod should it fall into the water. I have retrieved my rods from the water too many times!Tip: when using on split grip handles, I like to pinch the open end shut with a zip tie.Drawback is cost.
