This is great. My son uses it for his dirt bike and it’s so clear! Easy to put on and set up

can't for the life of me get it to pair with other brands. sound quality is decent so it's not a 1 star from me, but since i can't pair it with other brands, it is useless for my application

Pretty good out if the box, using this for my snowboarding helmet. The bluetooth connection was pretty easy. The mount is pretty solid and doesn't show signs of slipping being attached only to the outer shell of the helmet. The audio sounded really nice. The buttons are larger and easy to press, might be trickier with larger gloves. Otherwise awesome and doesn't break the bank. The mic is exchangeable from a wired style that hangs by ur chin to a pin style where you can pin it on the inside of a helmet via velcroThe helmet speakers themselves are round, my helmet had previous slits in the ear parts so they are tucked in there.Functions pretty well and pretty decent price for it.

This headset works perfectly for what I need it to do, which is play music while riding, and maintain controls without having to take my hand off the throttle or become distracted. The sound quality is OK, and I would recommend trying to place them as close to your ears as possible in your helmet.

This is a must have for any ATV or Motorcycle rider. It is super easy to install and will make your ride much more enjoyable. I bought it for the ability to make and receive phone calls, but honestly, the music was a game changer. It doesn't get any better than tearing up the trails in the middle of nowhere listening to 80s rock. Buttons are nice and big to make it easy to change volume and tracks. Charging is fast and easy using standard USB-C.

Took a minute for me to get it setup because even when it is off you can hold down the pairing button and it will say it is pairing but if you didn't turn it on first, then it won't broadcast, so it you are trying to pair but don't see it on your Bluetooth, make sure that you turned it on first. There is a voice prompt that tells you when it is on and the side lights come on when its turned on. The sound quality is good for a mic at this price point. I don't have a cardio to compare with but of the 5 different budget sets I have owned, I would put this as #2.

I’ve been trying to pipe music into my helmet for some time now using earbuds, as well as a few rigged setups with small speakers in my helmet. My primary reason for trying out this LX5 system is for playing tunes, but I also tested out the phone call capability as well. Since I don’t have any pals with this system or anything similar, I’m unable to test out the intercom functionality, but I have to say I am intrigued as it would be very cool and convenient to be able to chat with riding buddies while on the go.Installation and results will definitely vary depending on the type and style of helmet you are using, but I managed to install the speakers, microphone, and the short lengths of wiring in my Shoei full-face motocross helmet without any real fuss. The kit comes with two options for attaching the Bluetooth controller to the side of a helmet. One is a clip-on type of attachment that utilizes a metal clip (sort of like a money clip), and the other utilizes a plastic base with double sided-tape that you stick on the helmet. I used the latter style – it was easy to install and it holds the unit firmly in place but it is also easy to remove the unit for charging just be pressing a small plastic tab to release it from the base. The kit comes with two microphone options - one utilizes a simple wire with a foam-covered mic on the end. The mic attaches to the helmet with a piece of Velcro, thus it easy to remove as needed. The other option is a foam-covered mic on an adjustable, articulating, metal goose-neck, and it too is attached with Velcro (I’m unsure how well Velcro would hold the mic in this case). For my setup I chose the simple mic on the end of a wire.As I mentioned earlier, the type, style, and even the size of the helmet will likely play a role in the installation and how well the unit sounds, or how well it fits/comfort for the rider after the installation. I wear a “Large” helmet, and I was able to install the Velcro pads and speakers with a little bit of room to spare in the ear pockets of the helmet (again, Velcro is used so you can remove the speakers but some care and effort is needed). I can get my helmet on and off with no problems at all, just as if the system was not installed, but I will say that after putting it on, I need to do a little side-to-side and up and down motion with the helmet to get my ears to settle naturally into the ear pockets. This can take about 15 to 20 seconds or so, and then once comfortably in place, I’m good to go without any problems. As to functionality, this is a pretty cool setup. I paired it to my iPhone (which I typically keep in my camelback when riding), and I was instantly up and running, cranking out tunes and even making a few calls. I can confidently say that this system is very loud – plenty to overcome the exhaust note of my machine, and the sound quality is impressive by my standards, especially for a system coming in at about 45 bucks. With the engine off, phone calls are very clear for the recipient, and I could hear without any problems, but I’m unsure how things would sound for the recipient with the engine running or while in motion with wind noise , particularly when using a motocross helmet. That said, for tunes, this system rocks for me!The controller for the system charges via USB-C, and the play-time far surpasses the duration of even the longest rides I take. There are a few buttons on the controller, some of them being multi-function, so there is a little bit of a learning curve to get accustomed to it. As with most modern gizmos, the unit also has LED lights that cycle through various colors – I’ll admit it looks pretty neat to me. You can turn that functionality on or off to your liking. My bottom line here is that for my purposes, this is a nice unit and it has exceeded my expectations. The build quality of all of the components looks, feels and sounds excellent. The control unit feels sturdy and the buttons all function and feel like quality as well – nothing feels cheep about this system as all. At the current price of $45, I see this as a five-star system. In the future, I’m hoping a buddy will get one of these so I can test out the intercom functionality.

Hubby just got a new 4 wheeler, so we both had to get helmets. When I saw this bluetooth helmet headset, I thought, that sounds like a good idea, so I thought to try it out. I was actually pleased with the quality of the sound. It wasn't tinny sounding or like you're underwater. SInce you can't actually see it to know which button you want to push, it does take some getting use to by your sense of touch. But what's nice about this headset, is the ability to be able to talk to others while riding, which was the main reason I got it. And the mic button you press to talk with others is the only button that's significantly raised up, so it's easy to locate. And it also has the voice assistant option, which you just click one of the buttons to activate it. It securely sticks to the outside of your helmet, but if you want to extra ensure it doesn't fall off (because this is what I did), you can use Gorilla Tape (better safe than sorry!). It has a quick charge timeframe & a longer music play time.
