This is my first fly rod and so far I love it. I've fished this rod 5x. I've caught about 45 trout. The biggest was a 22 in rainbow that weighed close to 5lbs. My new personal best. I was a little worried about a 3wt rod but it handled that huge trout in running water no problem. The rod is easy to cast and is pretty sensitive.Only negative is the balance is maybe 4in in front of the handle, even with an oversized reel. Really great rod for the price. Nymphing is THE way to catch trout.

I am very please with my Farglory rod. I have used it extensively as a 10" 6" nymphing rod and also as a 9' conventional rod both with great success. The rod casts well and has handled fish up to 8+ pounds with no problem. The only problem I have had is trying to contact customer service to get a new rod tip. I have gone through the website and filled in the response form but when i hit "send", I get a white screen with no indication if the form was sent or not. It has been a week so I assume that the form was not sent.

I bought this rod 2 months ago, and at first I was fairly happy with it.then I started to realize that the reals were not holding as tight as they should. Boom suddenly on one cast the threaded part to hold the real pops off the rod.Not a good quality product especially for the price.

I purchased this specifically to Euro Nymph with. I was very pleased with the quality of the rod for $100, but the 3rd fish in of the day - the rod snapped. I must have gotten a defective rod... because it was working great up until that point (granted, it was a fat, 18' whitefish... but still). Seller was quick to send me a message indicating agreement to replace the rod and I'm eager to get back out and use it again. I really like the extension that takes it out to 11' - makes it really nice for Euro Nymphing. For a $100 rod, I've got no complaints and would recommend it for anyone looking to get into the sport.

Got this rod last weekend and went nymphing with a regular floating line. I was able to reach a spot in the river that is usually too far and had an awesome day. Had like 15 trout that day in a short time. It worked great. Can’t wait to get a Czech nymphing set-up and get back on the river - when it stops raining :(

The Maxcatch 4 in 1 Farglory 4 wt. Fly Fishing Rod is a lightweight fast-action specialty rod designed for the Czech Nymph technique. Fishing this rod you actually flick weighted nymphs upstream of the target area and then, using the extra rod length, and long, light leaders, guide the flies along the bottom, almost pulling the rig downstream instead of using the standard "dead-drift. The Farglory comes with a extra extension that allows you to go from 9 1/2' to 11', or you also can make it 10' or 10 1/2' to fish any size stream you wish. A great concept in nymph fishing or you can use it with a dry fly fishing the 9 1/2'. I paired it with the Maxcatch TORO Reel in a 4 wt. & the Maxcatch AVID Fly Line 4wt. to hit the streams. This rod for the money will match up with any high priced Nymph rod on the market. You got to try this rod nymph fishing to feel its great action !!!! Trust in Maxcatch you won't be sorry...
